In a dream interrupted,
I give you the title of my longest poem.
We decided to meet on the opposite ends
Of an unhinged pendulum.
You will break my heart and I will love it,
An interruption to the formation of a whole,
But a full,
Full heart.
You remind me of the words I have read,
And the words read by my mother.
You remind me that somewhere there is someone knitting a blanket
From the torn threads in my lifeline
To cover the rips in your clothing
That were given to you prior.
You remind me of the poems I have written,
And the poems I’m still writing.

Berlin-based MC and artist Lloydfears @lloydfears, originally from The North of engl*nd, returns with a new release on June 22 on Rest Now! After the groundbreaking EP 'Saint & Ogre,' Lloydfears navigates a bleak soundscape with his latest single, 'Selling England.' Unsteady guitar loops, barely there beats and dubbed out echoes from deep in the warehouse provide the backbone of a deep narrative. One that confronts work; honest and otherwise, deceit for survival and control over destructive desires

'Selling England' is an unphased portrayal of the shit we do to pay the rent. Highlighting themes of disenfranchisement and resilience. His lyrical approach does away with the rapid fire flows of his previous output for intimate spoken word that drifts freely across a dense acoustic loop salvaged from cracked vinyl. Lloydfears continues to push the boundaries of grime, delivering a profoundly engaging and introspective listen.
