COSI FAN TUTTE - "MERIDIAN" EP

"Cosi Fan Tutte" is a band composed of producers Bandit & NiKiT. In 2009, they decided to gather their love for music in their side project, to make tracks in a complementary way. The idea is to melt the power and the emotions of harmony with a very direct and intuitive production sound. There is no room for elitism, the aim is to remain fun, complex though the tracks might be.

After the 1st Ep « Extents » released on Feb. 22, 2012, the duo comes back with a 2nd effort entitled « Meridian » that contains 5 new original tracks.

OMNI SCIENCE

Benedicte is a Parisian band composed of 5 male members who initiated the project in 2011. Influenced by the new wave, soundtracks and modern club music, they create a kind of pop containing complex moods but that is still made to dance.  The cold and dark atmospheres, that are balanced by moments of passion and tenderness, input ambiguity into the apparent naivety.

They are now releasing their 1st EP (release date : 04/20/2013) on Flagship Ltd. that contains 3 original tracks and 3 remixes, from Borussia, Matt Mendez & Riggs and Cosi Fan Tutte. 

1. « Partymen Fairyland » opens the release on an uptempo rythm and a festive approach. Like in a cycle, the track oscills between heroic party choruses where a fast bassline up-holds the lead of an electric guitar, and softer breaks where the machine-drum calms down, before the velocity of the music increases again. 

2. « Romantic Rockers » starts with a smooth atmosphere made of emotional pads, which then successively accelerates with the arrivals of a warm bass and an incisive beat. Once launched the rythm doesn’t stop and a robotic vocoder goes along the lead-singer’s voice, bringing a time-less aspect to the track.

3. « Last Summer In Baden Baden » is introduced by a digital German female voice announcing a journey to a far destination. The ensemble of synthetic patterns on the laidback  drums provides a melancolic feeling, while - sort of - abstract guitar solos add the track further psychedelic and mental dimensions. 

The tight and precise production signed Borussia completes the harmonic writing, rising the whole up to a sensitive experience. The synthetic – yet organic – sound plays with vintage references coupled with the producer’s futuristic touch.
