Monako has been a core figure in Eora's (Sydney, AU) electronic music scene for over a decade, making his mark as a DJ, producer, and co-founder of Big Ting Recordings and Dayshift. Known for his bold, bass-heavy sound, he thrives in the city's underground bass and techno community, pushing fresh ideas and championing the music he loves.

With a deep appreciation for breakbeat-driven sounds, Monako's sets move through techno, drum and bass, electro, and ambient elements, all tied together by gritty basslines and punchy percussion. His ability to adapt to any setting - whether a dark, intimate club, a sprawling warehouse rave, or a packed festival stage - has made him a favourite among Eora's electronic music crowd.

Beyond DJing, Monako has helped shape the local underground scene, curating and promoting events that bring cutting-edge sounds to the city. As a co-founder of Big Ting Recordings and Dayshift, he's played a key role in booking and hosting some of the world's most respected artists, including Loefah, K-LONE, Pinch, Madam X, Kahn & Neek, Jeremy Sylvester, DJ Flight, and Wa-Fu, among others.

His club-ready productions, built on breakbeat textures and detailed sound design, have earned him regular play on FBi Radio and respect from listeners and fellow artists alike. Internationally, he represented Australia at Outlook Festival (Croatia) in 2016, while back home, he has delivered standout performances at Subsonic, Secret Garden, Dragon Dreaming, and countless warehouse and club events.

Monako is always searching for new ways to challenge the limits of sound, breaking free from the usual constraints of tempo and genre. Whether building deep, atmospheric journeys or delivering raw, high-energy bass and techno, his approach keeps crowds locked in and the energy flowing.

If you're a fan of 140, then Aotearoa's DJ D-Low should already be on your radar. Known for his razor-sharp selections and deep love of bass music, he naturally weaves together dubstep, reggae, and dub to create raw, heavy-hitting grooves.

Coming from a background in heavy metal and blues, his transition into the darkest realms of electronic music was a natural evolution. His sets explore the weird and wonderful sides of bass, striking the perfect balance between raw energy and deep, hypnotic vibrations.

Through dedication and a deep passion for the craft, D-Low has earned the opportunity to share the stage with some of the world's top bass music pioneers, including Truth, Vivek, Headland, Sepia, Abstrakt Sonance, and Khiva. As a founding member of the Port Dubs Collective (PDC) Sound System, he has been instrumental in shaping Auckland's underground bass scene, putting on countless events at The Thirsty Dog, Nannys, and the Waitakere RSA.

Beyond his work behind the decks, D-Low gives back to the community through his charity event series, Bass In Your Face, held at Whammy Bar, which has raised thousands for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. His dedication to both the music and the culture has made him a staple at Aotearoa's most respected club nights, regularly appearing at events hosted by Twin Digits, One Forty Dubz, and Port Dubs Collective. He has also played alongside the likes of N8-NZ, Third Eye Hi-Fi, Roots Fire Sound, Big Bada Boom, Drop Beats Not Bombs, Sic Entertainment, and Home Bass Radio crews.

D-Low's presence extends beyond the clubs, having delivered earth-shaking sets at some of New Zealand's premier festivals, including Twisted Frequency, Otherlanz, Earth Beat, and Dimension. With a deep connection to sound system culture, he keeps the bass rolling through Aotearoa, delivering heavyweight frequencies that move bodies and minds alike.

Newy Bass Crew: 121 Introducing... HoneyFingers

As heartbreaking as it is for everyone involved that this year's Esoteric Festival couldn't go ahead, I'm stoked to be able to release this set. Took me a while to get together and not having the crowd and the dance floor there to guide the curation of the mix definitely leaves a void in the process, though instead the process of grieving and overcoming otherwise guided what I wanted to convey.

Though there are arguably bigger problems going on in the world then the cancellation of a music festival, I know personally how much these types of events mean to myself and the community I'm privileged to be a part of and there's a lot to be said for our need for collective celebration, community, connection and release at these times. In the end, I choose to take solace that everything happens for a reason, and there's a lesson in everything. And though it can take time, I trust that eventually those reasons will reveal themselves.

Cosmatik's musical journey has been underpinned by the continued appreciation for and the love of music across a myriad of styles.

The project emerged from a desire to express this adoration and to culminate the consortium of styles that have influenced and driven it since inception.

Guided less by genre than by an elementary underpinning, Cosmatik can be seen playing across a multitude of styles, ever attentive to maintain a careful curation of the experience at hand. From hip-hop and soulful inspired, to dance-floor driving DnB, left-of-field bass music and flowy ethereal global bass music.

Cosmatik's genre-defying, chameleon like style leaves no stone unturned and is as adaptive as it is diverse. A journey of genres, artfully woven together to create a unique experience that's sure to inject energy into any dance-floor.

~ Cosmatic (noun): The term relating to incomprehensible occurrences in the known universe. Fusing the concepts of “magic” and “cosmic”, it acts as an all encompassing replacement for any phenomenon that the human mind currently cannot explicitly describe, or explain.  ~
