So excited to welcome our next podcast guest, Benjamin Philippe Zulauf (Hummingbird by BPZ), who will be bringing the vibes to our series with an incredible and eclectic two-hour journey...

Bio:
This story must begin with an old Roland analog drum machine and a well used Juno synthesizer over many a late evenings ago in the late 90s. Before clubs, warehouse raves and second hand record stores, it was just some young guy with his gear in a cool basement out in the Australian countryside, making up beats purely on instinct and hours of experiment. These are the core essentials if you like to what makes this multi-national, multi-tasking and multi-skilled artist tick.

Benjamin Philippe Zulauf is no stranger to change and evolution, his own music has been heavily influenced from different cities he has lived in, from Melbourne with the likes of Phil K, Revolver and Honkytonks to Lausanne with La Ruche, Ripperton, Agnés and Digitaline making their mark. Then it was Berlin with the likes of Mike Shannon, CDV, DJ Sotofett and Panorama Bar to currently in Leeds with Cosmic Slop and Hope House showing the way. You will hear bits off of these scenes in his sets and music productions, be it techno, deep house, electro, acid, break beats or minimal electronica, it is less about a genre and more about feeling and a story being played out. 

You will find Benjamin these days still hard at work and pushing forwards with new material. His label is now established and his own productions are being championed by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Peace Division, DJ Rolando (UR), LTJ Bukem, DJ Bone, Fred P, Terry Frances, Barac, DJ Sprinkles and Âme. It would not be out of place to say that he has earned this over the past years and that nothing ever comes without the hard work and dedication to that love of drum machine and synthesizer noise.

Bilal really, really young started to be a digger by starting to search his father's vinyl collection on the internet while trying to know all about those genres and the ideology and history of them. Then, at around 16 years old started to learn his first instrument the bass and then electronic knocked the door in college, the rest is history.
Stopped everything besides digging for some years until the pandemic, but fortunately the pandemic brought him back and as he says he's here only for fun, to make fun and to never stop again.
As Soberdrunkid, the sober stance progresses on the low & experimental wave while the drunk vision sees the rave agility of grasping dance-floors from low-down beat to acid, electronica, house, deep tech & breaks. Enjoy!

This time some special guests and two of the most beloved regulars from La Récré (Helvetia). Recorded live at Saubrazil festival, in the Swiss alpine forests. This one's a non-stop digger's delight. 
Rocking the world out of Paris, Penar runs label @piranha-hips-records and parisian crew @Duty free. Together with Bigraf they co-founded La Récré, a DJs collective based in Switzerland, launching underground parties with singular focus on art, music and visuals.
