"Zukunft" is a rather small club nested in Zürich's red light district and might just be the main spark that started my Quarion project ages ago... this spot has a very special place in my heart and it always has been my "home away from home".
On that night in July, the people on the dancefloor were open to everything and I had the pleasure to share the decks with Schacke99, an excellent DJ who played very inspiring tunes.
This one-hour set was recorded after his intro and I enjoyed turning up the heat bit by bit!

Here's the recording of my recent gig at Paloma in Berlin. I played the opening for one of my all-time favourite producers: mighty Ian Pooley. A deep-house fueled warmup set with loads of classic tunes and recent and unreleased gems.

For us, Quarion is one of those artists who is a superstar in his genre, having been around for many years and consistently delivering quality. His 2019 album release "Shades" was one of the best albums of the last decade, providing the perfect vibe for dreamy yet groovy winter and summer nights.

When we started planning our GALGA release in 2020, "Shades" was one of the reasons we asked Quarion for a remix. The vinyl was released in late summer 2023, and we hope it will be as timeless as his album.

We are very pleased to have him on board. Enjoy the mix.

While the year offered an amazing amount of new music from all angles, rather than a best-of mix for the Greasy Listening # 10 finale, I’ve opted to revisit the special guest mix I did for dublab radio in dedication to the Glossolalia LP as a kind of personal year highlight to close the books on 2023, for anyone that may have missed it live on the airwaves.
