Casino Times - Casino Edits #2 - A (STW Premiere)

Too Rough 4 Radio is a “hazy, chicken wings on wax, tape and digital" label helmed by EN_RICO and FLORIAN and based between Berlin and Haldensleben, Germany. A home for a multitude of up-and-coming acts, for their latest V/A package they call on an array of fledgling producers, each of whom puts in an impressive shift here. Clued-in sounds for clued-in heads, this is a release that fans of discerning house are sure to lap up, with TR4R 02 featuring no less than 6 producers and friends of the label.

Ku$h is the solo project of Jair Alonso, an emerging Spanish producer whose contribution to TR4R02 is arguably its most beautiful. ‘Chico Problema’ is a fascinating slice of electronica, complete with luscious Balearic-inspired overtones. Crafted in a similar vein to Don Carlos’ best works, it’s the sort of twinkling cut that would doubtless find favour with the likes of Young Marco. Deep and dexterous, it takes the proverbial breadth away in sub like fashion. A prolific and always intriguing producer, KU$H’s sounds have perked up on the likes of 2phonic recordings, Cenital music and Discos Aquelarre.
