G'day groovers, this month I've got a very special show, and a very special announcement. As of August, we'll be running a monthly club night at Tokyo Sing Song on top of our first Saturday party at the Gladstone, which is also being extended until 3am!

This is super exciting for us as it welcomes in a new era of Cosmic Boogie! Expect big diverse sounds like the ones you're going to hear in this mix. Traversing genres, grooves, sounds, styles, ideas and feelings each month, this mix perfectly encapsulates what you can expect us to be doing down in the glitter dungeon.

The broadcast will cut out at 2h, but the full show is about 2h45m long and takes a ride from tech house to jungle, stopping at everything in between. The recording will be released on Soundcloud as soon as the show has aired complete with a full track list for you trainspotters. "I spent 3 months selecting tracks from my vinyl and digital collection, and buying new music here in Australia and overseas, to create the vibe I was after for this mix; which is a journey through some of my favourite types of dance and electronica.
 
Starting off at 120bpm and working my way up to 134bpm, with ups and downs and melodic moments, across a multitude of genres, taking inspiration from Clipp.Art.
 
As seen in the track list, I’ve included some of my favourite Australian artists/tracks that I’ve come across since living here: t.hanks, FSOM, DJ Swella, Sam Weston, Rydeen, DJ WHIPR SNIPR, along with a nod to home by the likes of Isaac Carter, Ross from Friends, Youandewan and Papa Nugs.

These texts are meant to be a sort of introduction as much as they serve as a kind of statement of intentions, from the hosts and guests alike: a nice prelude to the musical message the latter aims at conveying as much as the former means to disseminate. Given the source material, there is a recurrence of themes and terms, something whoever follows this platform might have noticed long ago. We constantly praise guests for being prolific, we often mention abundance, we frequently talk of wealth and richness, and so on. But what lies behind these concepts is an idea that becomes fundamentally obvious whenever we remember the fact that we are talking about culture and especially when we realise that we do it through one of its most fertile forms. So, when we welcome an artist that fully personifies all of these principles, from moniker to musicality, it is inevitable to see it as an augur of sorts. Ceres Yo embodies all of the above, adding prowess and eclecticism to the mix, as she does to this one gracing our series in this episode and everything else she’s involved with. Here we are offered an odyssey across a rhythmic itinerary as varied as it is enthralling.

Love International launch new vinyl-focused imprint with a 12" from Adam Curtain including a remix from Mr. Ho.

Revered party crew Love International expand their enterprise, channeling the buzz from another stellar year into a freshly minted sub-label: the 'Love International Floor Series'.

As the name suggests, the series zeroes in on the dance floor, giving some form and shape to misty memories forged across protracted sessions at Barbarella's, The Olive Grove and The Beach in Tisno.

In to inaugurate the project is London based Adam Curtain - an artist focused on flexing the boundaries of UK club music who has been gathering steam as a nifty selector and a talented producer. A familiar face on both sides of the booth at Lion & Lamb, Fabric, Gottwood and of course - Love International - Adam nails the brief in delivering a record that is sharp, direct and eminently playable.

Musically - the tunes bridge old and new, nestling in that sweet spot between Breaks, Electro, UKG, Acid and Minimal. Stepped grooves, crisp snares, angular synths and oozey bass lines all unify to render a sound that's simultaneously psychotropic and crystal clear.

The cherry on the cake comes as a remix from the venerated Mr. Ho of Klasse Wrecks fame. Often paired with Luca Lozano, Mr. Ho is a master of organising chaos and here he does exactly that - rousing his machines and churning the original into a sludgy, fractal brain scrambler.

Distributed by Subwax - 001 will be pressed to 350 copies and is due to arrive mid October.
