In Focus this time is PORAT, who introduces his set: "Since my first Ozora experience, I've been working on crafting my music into a more progressive and hypnotic feel. I'm proud to release my first set on radioOzora, sharing my vision of how Pumpui should sound in my world."

Ron Porat, known as Porat, is a rising star in the psychedelic music scene. He is part of the Shamanic Tales label, who introduced him to radioOzora. Blending 140bpm beats with influences from psychedelic trance, progressive house, and dub techno, he crafts hypnotic rhythms and intelligent soundscapes.

Ten years ago, our lives were forever changed when we met. During a chance encounter with fate, a curious woodpecker followed us on the day we first met. We sat together at the Antifellos amphitheater, where Malin gazed up at the bird and said, 'If an animal comes to you, it has 
meaning.' There is even a dictionary of it.' Her words sparked curiosity in both of us, and we decided to investigate further.

What message would this woodpecker's visit bring? And then we found out - 'Have the courage to move on. Break with your old life. My gift to you is to gain quality of life.'" It was as if the woodpecker had been sent to guide us towards a new path.

Recently, Malin's initial spark was an idea to create a track inspired by this unexpected visitor. When Hemo heard the concept, he quickly sought out their record collection, which they had recently acquired from a 
second-hand store. The collection featured a diverse range of bird species' recordings that coincidentally included woodpeckers.

We carefully curated the woodpecker's distinctive drumming and singing sounds, which would later become the heartbeat of our EP.

Inspired by this serendipitous encounter, we created our latest EP, 'Follow the Woodpecker,' with one message at its core - to break free from the past and step into a brighter future. The woodpecker's visit became a metaphor for our own journey, and our music is an invitation to join us on 
this path of growth and transformation.

On a quest for a unique sound that he can call his own, Gorovich started out with the influences from his roots – soundscapes from 90's trance music – and in the spirit of experimental production began a process of custom made sound design. There is magic to be found in creating something fresh and new, and he found it. Every kick, every drum and every sound in the album was created by and for the moment at which it appears, and is the result of a playful process of discovery. Just like any new unbeaten path, it was filled with winding roads and unexpected challenges, but the result led to a whirling Vortex of sound. The debut album from Gorovich brings a fresh wave of sound to the dancefloor and invites us to revel in an entirely new and magical vibrations of sounds.

Meet Cosmic Connection, a married couple from Sweden who share a profound love for deep, dark, and melodic sounds. As both DJs and producers, Malin and Hemo bring a distinctive blend of creativity and passion to their craft.

Cosmic Connection was founded in 2019, yet its roots trace back four years prior when Malin and Hemo coincidentally encountered each other during a vacation in Kaş, a charming Mediterranean town in southern Turkey. It was in that moment that they recognised a cosmic connection to each other and knew instinctively that they had found their better half.

Their journey took a significant turn when Hemo relocated from Turkey to start a new life with Malin in Sweden. Together, they invested in their first stereo, complete with a built-in vinyl player, igniting the idea of forming a vinyl-only DJ duo.
Hemo's musical voyage traces back to the mid-90s when he first discovered dance music through cassette tapes recorded from various radio stations. This passion propelled him to begin DJing in clubs across Istanbul in the early 2000s. Malin, on the other hand, discovered dance music just a few years before meeting Hemo and instantly fell in love with the scene. Drawn to the energy of the music, her passion deepened as she explored different genres and attended live events, ultimately leading her to discover her own unique style and sound.

Over the years, Cosmic Connection has evolved from its origins as performance DJs to multifaceted music producers. Drawing inspiration from Hemo's decades-long involvement in dance music and Malin's background in stage and performing arts, their evolution has been marked by a common goal: to share their love and connect with listeners on a profound level, revealing their perspectives on life and the universe.
Their music, whether as DJs or producers, offers a rare intensity and nuanced musicality. With a passion for synthesizers, Cosmic Connection delves into the depths of sound waves to create musical stories that captivate and inspire. Their compositions are more than just music; they are immersive journeys that speak to the listener and invite them on a transformative sonic adventure.

Cosmic Connection's debut single "Battle of Kerbela" released in February 2023, followed by "No Beginning, No End" in November 2023, and culminated in their anticipated debut album, Consciousness.
