On a very crisp Sunday evening, nearing midnight, nestled in the Blue Mountains about 30 minutes out of Lithgow.  I had the absolute pleasure of performing this set (or something like it) for Samual "Night Blind" Toppo's birthday for Samstock 2.1.

The set reflects my desire to hear variety in electronica and particularly performed sets, shifting through various genres of drum and bass, half-time and dubstep. Each one providing something different, something special the other can't.  I've been finding a lot of peace in Liquid recently but often I feel the need for the filthiest of wobbly wubs that I can screw my face up to. 

I hope this set reflects what was intended, thank you so much to Samual, Mark, Kasia (and everyone else) for opening your arms, welcoming me into the NSW tribe and facilitating the space for all the wonderful artists that came together last weekend. Much love, till next time <3

This double compilation materializes the ever existing oppositions in any form of things in life (plus or minus, good or bad, light and dark, yes or no, black and white ...) and the difficulty to make choices.

His creator wanted to depict the permanent opposition between left and right brain in his head, turning every decision making into a violent inner fight betwenn both most extreme points of view. The only answer lies right in the middle of this opposition, carracterised only by the equivalent distance betwenn both these extremes.

Cosmic Core is a group of international artists born from the cosm.co.nz music forum for Ableton Live music software Users. 

One user's simple idea of collaboration through the mutual love of music, regardless of age, gender or their location on this big blue planet, snowballed into the first, self-titled, album release in April 2012 , consisting of 22 tracks by 25 artists from around the world, who share a passion and mindset for harnessing the powers and flexibility of emerging music technology that software such as Ableton Live gives us.

Cosmic Core is trully an international affair. Represented countries include: United Kingdom, United States, Costa Rica, Ireland, Belgium, France, Portugal, Germany, India, Canada, Australia, Norway and New Zealand, the home of Tom Cosm, the artist whose forum is in use each day to make new connections, to gather knowledge from his detailed tutorials and to learn from each other's experience of music software, hardware and performance. True to form, Tom put his name forward to be part of the first Album alongside us.
