At the forefront of progressive and trance for almost a decade, Ilan creates high energy trance with heart and soul. His debut artist album, 2018’s ’Scars’, emphatically showcased the Bluestone sound. Broadening his repertoire with elements of dubstep, chillout and funk, ‘Scars’ cemented Ilan’s place as a headline Anjunabeats artist, with DJ support from Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Oliver Heldens. The album has hit over 30 million streams. Songwriting takes centre stage on ‘Impulse’ - love found and lost, attachment and disengagement. 

Giuseppe de Luca returns to the fold with five vocal contributions on ‘Impulse’. The natural peak-time successor to hits like ‘Bigger Than Love’ and ‘Frozen Ground’, ‘Look At Me Now’ is a guitar-driven anthem about loss. In 2021, GRAMMY-nominated dance trio Above & Beyond celebrate the 10th anniversary of their critically-acclaimed second studio album, ‘Group Therapy.’ To mark the occasion, an eclectic selection of acts have taken on the challenge of remixing ten iconic tracks from the 2011 album. 

On 10 December, Anjunabeats label mainstay ilan Bluestone releases his energetic trance rework of ‘Sun & Moon’. With its uplifting melody, bittersweet lyrics, and Richard Bedford’s iconic vocals, ‘Sun & Moon’ has become one of the most beloved singles in the Above & Beyond catalogue. Ilan’s remix first premiered during the trance trio’s headlining set at their sold out Group Therapy 450 show at Drumsheds, London this past September.

Providing a twisted counterpoint to the uplifting ‘Flying By Candlelight’, the second chapter of Above & Beyond’s ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ sees Jono, Paavo and Tony unleash ‘Distorted Truth’. 

This is Above & Beyond at their rawest, channelling the vitality of classic trance instrumentation into a track that manages to simultaneously be brutish and beautiful. Debuted during the band’s sold out Group Therapy 300 celebrations in Hong Kong, an attuned listener might hear a nod to the sounds of the Far East in the breakdown. 

Featuring both ‘Original’ and 'Club' mixes of three tracks that were part of the journey towards 'Common Ground’, the band’s 2018 album which debuted at Number 3 in Billboard’s Album Chart last February.
