Recording realized on Mouses plateau (place where the nine goddesses lived, the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, who preside over the arts and sciences.), at dawn. The landscape, formed on a precicice, an immsense and otherwordly silence with litlle and short sound-events appearing.

´Meydan trio´ in Livisiani Perdika (Λιβυσιανή Πέρδικα), an old song from so called Asia Minor, nowdays western Anatolian peninsula, once upon a time coloured and flavoured by numerous cultures, among them greeks, armenians, turkish, jewish, arabs a.o populations.

Invernal Soundscapes: A 2nd soundwalk @ EcoLagoon reserve (Epanomi, Thessaloniki, Greece)

Sound storyboard:
Scene #1 [00:00 - 01:18]: beginning of Soundwalk, direction to 2nd trail of reserve. 
Observations: two stops in order to focus on ambient sounds. Horizontal rotation of 360º (N'-->W'-->´S-->´N´´) produces that sound often called ´Karma Vortex´ or Eolic noise

Scene#2: [01:18 - 02:40]: crossing of dried mursh and bushes. 2nd stop at sandhill - 2nd horizontal rotation of 360º (N'W´S´N´´)
[03:08]: small airplane invades the sky
[04:42]: invasion repeated. Contrast of sound ambience
[06:33]: walking through a group of small reed-type bushes

Remarks (subjective):
*Invasion is noise. Noise is invasion
**Invasion is unavoidable. I have doubts if noise is..
***we hear in a kind of 'abstraction level' way..macro to micro-world sounds.
****Time to 'freeze and focus' on sound ambience seems more than necessary.
*****what we perceive is much less than what we don't

Thessaloniki Near - Airport Soundscape

Sirto is a typical dance and musical form encountered in various musical idioms of Greece, especially in the islands of Aegean sea, Minor Asia, Istanbul wider area, as well as continental regions of nowdays Greece. Sirto (literally meaning 'shuffled'), is an ancient dance which travelled and evolved through time,  gaining different styles and getting incorporated by many different folk traditions, giving a unique musical and dance 'flavour' to each one of them.
This composition is based on Cretan Sirto, outside strict formalities that may be present in discussions around abstractly so-called ''traditional'' music.  I consider it mostly as an contemporary approach of the way i perceived Cretan music through the years of my living in Crete, as well as a little, but always present, part of my relation with the island.

In the mountainous region of Zagori, near Ioannina, Greece, there are lots of mesmerizing sounds to discover. 
Dinos and Grigoris are two adolescents living in big cities. However they often visit this magnificent and historic village, so decided to walk around its narrow stone streets and collect some interesting soundprints.
