For the next Drone podcast, we are traveling to Malta, Our next Techno Minded Hero is influenced by various deep techno artists, he has started his music career by focusing on a mixture of deep techno and atmospheric music. He is part of the Systolic label, which stands for an exploration in wide range of deep hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Also on the 13th of August, he will be joining fellow Systolic label members, like Atmospheric Transmissions and Spork, and welcoming the Parisian Blocaus resident AWB at CABO Terrace on Malta. So if your spending your holidays in or around Malta, we definitely recommend that you join them!

DRONE Podcast 051 - Astronomical

Sweden is our next stop, we like to present a very skill full producer. He has been active since 1998. While creating a deep groove, his sound is marked by the warmth and heavy bass in his tracks. Definitely not a stranger if it comes to analogue gear, which he incorporates in his productions. With releases on Sonntagmorgen, We are, his next release will be out soon on animalfarm. 
Another project of this Techno Minded Hero is called Chain. As a duo their first release was on the great Planet Rhythm and the latest will be a vinyl release on Nachtstrom Schallplatten. Definitely one worth looking out for.

Biography
Anders Hellberg is a Berlin based producer/dj from south Sweden. Produced electronic music since in 1998. He loves to analogue gear and play livesets direct from the box. The tracks are solid and bass heavy techno with a straight and pulsating rhythms. Anders works are focused on a driving intensity, raw and deep grooves and droning varieties. Over the years, he has spent countless hours in his studio composing releases for labels like Sonntagmorgen, We are, Coincidense records and Kaputt, to name a few.

DRONE Podcast 052 - Anders Hellberg

For this Drone Podcast, we have the return of a Techno minded Hero and this time he brought one of his partners in crime with him.

This new face to the Drone Family, recently performed at probably the best classics house and techno festivals of the Netherlands, Wooferland!

Together with our returning Techno Minded Hero they call Amsterdam based Defuse Records their home.

Defuse Records started in 2009 as an independent label of Techno/Tech-House music, with an aspiration to create a pumping dance atmosphere for clubbers.

Defuse has a keen eye for talent, So many of our Techno Minded Heroes like Model1, Ziv Avriel, Rustig and Dispar Vulgo, have brought tracks out trough them.

We are honored to have them here and they granted us the live recording of their performence at Patterns Beach Festival near Amsterdam. This festival and their set was a blast and one of their highlights of this summer, without further ado we would like to welcome on the Drone Podcast No. 056: Juriaan & Daniel Englisch

Juriaan

Juriaan's love for electronic and dance music began after friends took him to a local underground acid party in Utrecht back in 1990. Influenced by what he heard he started to collect this acid and techno music. He started dj'ing a few months later in "Het Burgerweeshuis" in Deventer, Netherlands. Playing there for about 5 years he got to perform with the artists like: Quazar, Lady Aida, Per, Eddie 'flashin' Fowlkes, Cellie, Unit Moebius and Miss Djax ........to name a few. Juriaan moved to Amsterdam in july '94. where he got connected with the 'legendary' Mazzo (being his favourite club for many years) which resulted in frequent gigs on saturdays "Sex, Love & Motion" nights with dj Carlijn and Cellie. He later teamed up with dj's Ziv and Diablo to join the "Underground Heaven" movement which where also organizing parties at Mazzo. Other clubs and parties in Amsterdam where he performed include THE BUS @ Paradiso, Graan Silo, Dance Valley, Vaaghuyzen, Getaway Cafe, Studio 80, Club NL, TWSTD. In the meantime he got a once a month residence in club 'Radost FX' in Prague and played at other parties in Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Spain. Since 2007 he began to produce tracks of which 2 of them will appear on defuse records compilation cd and the first and second release on Defuse Records and now after a big break new releases are on the way. Nowadays Juriaan is hosting "The Defuse Records Radio Show" on Pure Radio once a month and appears on different parties all over...... for Juriaan It's all about the beats and bleeps,bleeps,bleeps............

For our next Techno Minded Hero, we are going back down under, this time to Sydney, Australia. 
He is the head honcho of the Electrax Music label group which includes some of our favorite labels like Elektrax Recordings, Gynoid Audio, Android Muziq, Darknet, Translucent, Achromatiq, Counter Pulse, AcidWorx, and Hypnotic Room. And his own production collection is a true treasure trove which are being played by the biggest names in the scene. 

His latest release’s on Counter Pulse include “Dish” a team up with Trinity with remixes from Mary Velo and Headless Horseman, “Gion” which include a Black hats edit and “Gamera” a four tracker with a selection of no-nonsense, pure techno funk that is powerful, functional, and made for underground techno floors. 

Besides being a prolific producer, he is rocking gigs and label nights in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China and Japan, where he just completed his latest tour. If you ask us, it’s time for a label night here in Europa!

Advanced Human (aka DJ Hi-Shock) was first inspired by the early electronic sounds of Detroit and Chicago, along with nascent German Techno and the underground bleeps of Belgian New Beat.

He struck out on his own versatile music career in 1992 as DJ Hi-Shock and has since featured at every major event in the Sydney Rave and Underground Techno scene throughout the 90’s. Ever since — always striving to perfect his skills — he’s taken both vinyl-spinning and production work to the highest level.

In recent years he has developed and helms the wildly successful Elektrax Music label group (which includes known and respected techno labels Gynoid Audio, Counter Pulse, Translucent, Android Muziq, Hypnotic Room, AcidWorx, Achromatiq, Darknet, and of course Elektrax Recordings).

He has released his own productions through labels like Gynoid Audio, Synewave, Planet Rhythm, Affin, Dynamic Reflection, Counter Pulse, and many others, along the way being charted and played by Adam Beyer, Joan Atkins, Tommy Four Seven, DJ Deep, Slam, Rolando, Luke Slater, Chris Liebing, Damon Wild and Dave Clarke amongst others.

On top of these inroads, Advanced Human has remixed the likes of Mark Broom, Truncate, Ken Ishii, Mattias Fridell, Gayle San, or Ade Fenton, and furthermore performed alongside a wad of ultimate DJ/producers like Sven Väth, Kevin Saunderson, Audio Injection, Oliver Lieb, Thomas P. Heckmann, Marcel Fengler, Mary Velo, Jammin’ Unit, Jonas Kopp, and many more over the years.

In the past couple years he has started putting on successful label nights in Sydney, and also regularly played gigs in Melbourne, with more recent international bookings taking him to DJ at places such as Seco, Origami, Dommune in Tokyo, Circus in Osaka, Swallowtail in Kyoto, Emergence parties in New Zealand, Footprint in China, and Vurt in Seoul.

Currently his trademark sound is based on exploring the uncharted terrains of Deep/Gritty Techno, that is rich with Dub chords and crunchy atmospheres surrounded by cold, bleepy effects, intricate percussion and an intense drive aimed at the dance floor.

Nebula Podcast #13 - Concept of Thrill

This month on PoleGroup radio we are going to listen to a mix from P.E.A.R.L., the Berlin based spanish artist has recorded it in his studio including tracks from Kastil, Varg, SSTROM, Exium and Zenker Brothers to name a few of them.

P.E.A.R.L. has released an EP lately on the Dutch label "Mord" called "Life Of Pleasures", and there are 2 EP's coming up on his own label Falling Ethics after summer. The first of them is a split EP  with Oscar Mulero which is planned to be released at the end of September.

You can see P.E.A.R.L. playing on june 21 at Instytut Festival in Poland as CRVEL together with Tensal and on July 19 you can see him playing in Tresor in Berlin for the next PoleGroup showcase.
