This is a remix of Mr.X's theme done entirely in VGM MM. I would say SoR2, but it's altered enough that it can almost stand on its own, like this could fit in a sequel game that featured music more like this(unlike SoR3) It's based off of Magnus Anderson's MIDI version from VGMusic. Basically i took that one and made a remix with elements of SoR2's, and i tried to see how far i could push its sound to in any way live up to the one in SoR2 in terms of quality. I sure hope i did as well as i think i did. :)

I looked through some old music files and decided this one sounded good enough to give a little polish and then put up here. I found myself liking it better than i did a year ago when i made this. If memory serves correctly, this was made to take the place of the ken and staff roll remixes i did last year, but for reasons i can not remember, i did not like this well enough to post it. I guess it just took time to revisit in order to appreciate it? I don't know, i do think it is a little disjointed feeling at times, but that could just be me. These guitar riff samples i put in to the song might have been partially what did it, feeling they get the idea across but didn't quite give it the punch i wanted. Oh well, if someone for some reason wants to add in legit solos, i would love it, or maybe i can learn to play my guitar better one day. :P Anyway, i hope you enjoy. :)

https://soundcloud.com/maniacmacmusic gave me his multi-tracks of his song that would turn out to be named "I had a band" Wanting to try and mix a bit of music myself, i asked him for these, and he gave them to me. Mac, himself, liked my mix, and even said he is not sure whose version was better. In my opinion, they both even out. His is cleaner and easier to listen to, while mine is bigger and more prominent, and has a bigger kick to it. I was curious to see what version people preferred, but have also been thinking on how to approach this, and i decided i could go ahead and upload it as it could possibly help us both get more exposure to people who might not have even stumbled upon either one of us.

What? Me? Upload a song? It's been a while, just been interested in other stuff that no one's really seen from me, but i might find some way to show it off.

Anyway i worked on a CPS2 song just recently, and i ended up liking the way it sounded. I submitted for a potential game, but i am not sure if it is even still in the works. I will not disclose what it is, though, just in case it turns out to be. I took time to work on this, so i sure as heck am not going to let it go to waste.

In The Ice Lounge

The basic concept and melody behind this song has been floating around in my head for some time now, and just recently, having gotten back into making music, have i decided to get it out. Well, this is my second attempt and by far my best, and not only that, but also a very satisfactory one. I wasn't entirely sure where to pick up from when i first made it, so when Jredd offered to solo in this, i figured it was a perfect opportunity to create a part for him to solo in and do what he wanted. A couple other things here and there have his stench on them, but the majority of his work can be traced back to that godlike solo of his. Just want to thank you, Jredd, for beefing it up with your magic.

Another day, another collaboration with Jredd, once again, on solo, though this time he is merely on the solo, unless there's more either he didn't tell me about or i missed. But all that aside, here is yet another melody that roams in my head that i got out and made in to a full song. I have a couple other melodies that need to get out, but i am figuring out how to transform them. Until then, enjoy the music.

Clubbin' At The Beach

This is a remix of an old song I did years ago that ended up being stolen and used in the Russian Bootleg port of Felix the Cat on the NES. I've never played the port, but i've watched playthrough videos on it, and of course I know all about the infamous HET Game Over screen. As you can guess, this was not made with Felix in mind at all, and it being used in a game went under my radar for years until WhizzyWhipitWonderful made a cover of one of my other songs in the game (Screw Titles). Believe it or not, it was actually being made to be used as a template for an OpenBOR mod of Mighty Final Fight all the way back in the day, and I was going to remake it with SNES samples, but it never went anywhere, and I never really got around to it. It was a possible end credits theme Idea I was going to use. I later decided it was a nice enough song to give to Shiru, the man behind TFM Music Maker, to use as one of the sample Modules, and I was briefly, at that time, going under a different name "HarukameiKasumo" that I ditched not long after the fact. And that is the histroy behind how Russian pirates got a hold of the song and were able to use it in their bootleg port. If you are wondering where the last part is, I actually did away with that because it included a reference to Ryu's theme, but since this is now a Felix the Cat song, and no longer in a capcom related project, I decided to do away with it. You may also be wondering why I slowed it down. The answer is, I didn't. It was made at, or very close to, this tempo. What happened most likely is TFM Music Maker is made to run in PAL, and the game itself was made to run in PAL (considering it was made in russia, as far as I am aware, other region bootlegs use the same format, so I have no idea the true origins of these bootlegs), and most emulators natively run in NTSC format, and thus the music is mostly heard sped up. So yeah, enjoy this ModPlug arrangement from the person who originally made it. :)

YM2151. Not the first track of mine in the game, but the first one uploaded. Since I haven't uploaded much in a while and this won't eat up a lot of minutes, and because I like it that much, I decided to go ahead and post here, especially knowing that it is OK to do so as my friend Jredd has done the same. I sent it to the creator and he liked it and is seeing if he can find a place for it. If not, it's still here to listen to.

Joyful Paradise - Hyper's Quest 2 Track Entry

Made about a month ago and posted to youtube, but recently just decided i could go ahead and upload it here as people seem to like it well enough. It's my own probably bizarre brand of Club/EDM music (featuring myself on vocals) made as my own idea as to what a modern Streets of Rage style soundtrack might sound like, going modern, but keeping the classic vibe. It may not be what I would like to hear in it, but it is at least an attempt at gettin the sound, a certain sound i have always been fascinated with hearing, but with the recent announcement of Streets of Rage 4 (which is what inspired me to try this), maybe we will hear that, assuming it is mostly original tracks and not littered with remixes with a few originals sprinkled here and there.

Rage-O-Matic

I have to admit I surprised myself with this one. I played around with the intro part, and then the rest of the song just kind of started oozing out in my head and i proceeded to lay it all down and even add to it. Made mostly in modplug with a few effects and equalization done in Audacity to give it the sound I intended from the get go.

GEAR

This is something i've been messing with off and on the past many days, and then i got more serious about it and the result is this. It was inspired by the 80s era ramones, with stuff from like animal boy, although the big chrous is inspired by a combination of that and a bit of the 90s punk revival era, like goldfinger (you may notice it sounds a tiny bit like superman) You can think my good pal Jredd for suggesting i mix sampled guitar with synth, and so the result is...well, this. We think it's pretty awesome, but what do you guys think?
