THE CAMPERS

First of all Cosmo wanted to create a band that fits into his mobile home. Secondly the sound vision was to make it sound soulful, funky and huge. The third priority was to create a spectacular live show.

THE CAMPERS record all their releases in the Cosmobile, which is not only a tourbus, but Cosmo´s legendary mobile studio.
Guest appearances of international musicians like Brian Frasier Moore (Drums: Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Janet Jackson)
Hanno Busch (Guitar: Stefanie Heinzmann, Tom Gaebel, Heavy Tones), Cory Wong(Guitar: Vulfpeck) or Rhani Krija (Sting, Prince) live and on record, spice up the soul & Funk driven Trio.
The live taped Musicvideos called THE CAMPERS SESSIONS, reach out to thousands of people around the world, letting their fanbase  grow rapidly.
The live show of the THE CAMPERS not only profits from Cosmo´s outstanding qualities as a frontman, but the fact that he plays the drums at the same time, giving the show a dynamic and energetic range that is overwhelming for their audience.

Throughout 2019 several singles will be released by the mobile trio and will be followed by the Album ROADTRIP EUROPE at the End of 2019, beginning 2020.

The album’s message and roots are clearly reflected in the opening track ‘Let’s Work’. “Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow”, or as Phunkguerilla puts it: “Not Ur Azz Needs A Lift, No It’s Ur Screwed Up Mind”. Keep it chilled! 

‘When Lil Boyz Grow Up’, they have to face reality. Cosmo Klein has certainly not lost touch with his inner child. An urgent appeal to let your childhood dreams survive into adulthood.  

The spelling in ‘Boyz And Girlz’ is not the only homage to Prince on the album. The song is about a girl called Julie who can’t make up her mind whether to choose him or her. A cool, laid-back track about freedom.  

The smooth, classically-inspired love song ‘Ooh’ stands out for its gently shimmering wah-wah guitar licks and tongue-in-cheek romance: “No need for sex on the beach, yes we’ll do it on the table girl”. 

‘I’ll Make U Feel’ - “Show Me Ur’s, And I’ll Show U Mine. I’d Take U To A Sexual High“. No further explanation needed. This pulsating homage to the peak of the disco era will set the dance-floors alight. Endless fun beneath the mirror ball.  

‘Why’ is the first turning point on the album. The sound of an argument, question marks in the air – even good relationships have their difficult moments. Don’t let yourself be dragged down, cast away all doubt! Let nothing come between us! Irresistible guitar licks set to an off-beat funk rhythm provide the perfect setting for the heavy theme of the song. The vocal performance is reminiscent of Prince in his heyday - harsh words rarely sound as good as this. 

The song ‘Grandpa’ deals with old age, loneliness, a life increasingly immersed in the past. “Who’s Gonna Be With U At Last, Who’s Gonna Be With U?“ asks Cosmo. Set to an acoustic guitar and sung in a style reminiscent of Lenny Kravitz, the song is a fine example of Cosmo’s outstanding talent for handling difficult subjects with great sensitivity. 

‘Love In Progress’ reveals the old-fashioned romantic in Cosmo “Living Oldschool Romance Just So Gladly”. Having highlighted the pleasures of easy sex, Cosmo now extols the virtues of love and the slow journey of falling into it. “Nobody Knows Where This Trip Is Gonna Go”. A wonderfully refreshing electro funk track enlivened with the spirit of soul and disco. 

‘Beautiful Mind’. The tone of the album confidently veers from the hedonistic to the reflective. ‘Beautiful Mind’ is a clear reminder to keep your head held high and stand confidently in the face of intolerance.
