The monthly "Clen's List" playlists comes from the great music that comes across on Soundcloud each month. Of course this wouldn't be possible without the work of all the producers, reposters, promoters, and suggestions from others, so thanks and big up to everyone out there sharing and producing these sounds.

Another goal of these lists is to promote the artists producing the tunes. There are some really incredible less known productions that float around and just don't wind up in the "spotlight". By including these productions in the lists, hopefully these great works get their time in the spotlight.

Look out for a new list around the end of each month.

P.S. Overtime the lists lose tracks that were originally included. I do not know if this is due to artists removing their tracks from Soundcloud (or the tracks get bought by a record company and then removed), or if there is another reason. Cosmology makes his long awaited return to Smooth N Groove Records with four brand new jams showcasing his unique style of drum & bass. Based out of Oxford, UK, Cosmology was exposed to music at an early age through listening to his dad play guitar in a local Jazz band. Introduced to electronic music by his brother through a DJ Ratty tape. Cosmology's appetite for music continued to grow and he started to produce his own music in 2008. Fast forward to 2024 and Cosmology has had multiple releases on some of the scenes most iconic labels, including, Good Looking, Formation Records, Phuzion Digital, Fokuz, Celsius, Infulenza, Flight Pattern and Soul Deep to name a few. Additionally, his productions have had heavy support throughout the years from LTJ Bukem, Fabio, EZ Rollers, Random Movement, DJ Marky and LSB.

Cosmology's unique production style is captured throughout the Morchella EP. From the smooth, deep and punchy bass lines in the title track, to the steppy drum patterns heard in 'Badman'.

Furney is a quality Drum & Bass making machine!! He finds the perfect formula to rock the dance floor with his heavy shuffling breaks, balanced perfectly with emotive samples that help create an intense musical experience. The We Are Living EP is another example of why Furney is one of the most treasured producers in the Liquid D&B scene. "We Are Living", kicks things off in impressive fashion, with it's epic vocal, acoustic guitar plucking, trippy efx, Amen Drums, and driving bassline. This one's a classic!! "Elmalougalou", takes over next, where Furney is able to create a much funkier, dance floor vibe. This is an older Furney tune, but as you can tell, his music definitely stands the test of time. The song chugs along with its chunky, syncopated breaks, bouncing bassline, acoustic guitar, and epic horn samp les. Another Classic from Furney! "Rolling Down Time" takes a bit deeper, rolling approach to things. The mood is created by trippy pads, echoing vocals and efx, punchy drums, a booming bassline, and a ripping mid bassline. Soothing vocals drift over the top of the chaos and help put you in a trance. Deep! The final track of the EP, "Blue", wraps things up with its impressive Amen Drums, Jazzy horn blasts, deep pads, and haunting vocals. Once again, Furney drops another classic EP... Don't sleep on this one!!

Payback drops his 2nd EP 'Mentor' on Smooth N Groove.

The EP starts off with the eagerly awaited track 'Mentor' featuring heavy bass lines and the use of luscious percussion. Moving into 'Soulfury' Payback moves the track through the use of excellent drum work and beautiful atmospherics. The third track 'Diva' is an emotional tune with incredible use of the vocals. Finally he has teamed up with Wyman to end the EP on the beautiful track 'Curfew'.
