- Hi guys, this is a list of tunes I am feeling at the moment. Not all brand new, but this is the kind of stuff I love DJing at home while just having a jam. Especially feeling the new Chimpo and Dub Phizix so I guess this mix is inspired by that kind of sound with some beautiful liquid and jungle thrown in the middle for good measure. - What's up everyone, just recorded a new mix for Just Greg and chose a various selection of my favourite tracks this month that i've recently been playing out. Starting it off with an unreleased Forest Sound tune who collaborated with a friend of ours Dom aka Wvukey LOOM on the vocals, this track kills it with the Deep vibes and smooth production, had to start off with this one! 

The mix steadily progresses into the darker Half time territory with tracks from Homemade Weapons, Ruffhouse & Bredren + more, then reaching out to the Tech & Neuro vibes in the second half. Hope you guys enjoy it, big ups Greg for asking me to do the mix for this month. 

Looking forward to see what 2015 has to offer for Drum & Bass across the world.

Interview with Markus a.k.a Indivision:
- Can you speak a bit about the Indivision group?
- We started out as a trio, but for quite awhile I've been handling everything alone, Kaarel is still a member though but at the moment he is serving his mandatory 11 month time in the Estonian Army. 
- What was the first dnb track which you've ever heard and why would you like to become a producer?
- The Upbeats - View from the Inside. It sounded so awesome at the time. I had quit track & field, so needed something else in my life. I started out with any knowledge of how to write or produce music. In the beginning I spoke English at a basic level (thanks to music it has improved quite a bit). 
- What's your inspiration?
- My inspiration is the life itself, prolly clichee, but this is how it is. Everything I feel, see and affects me in life - it's all in the tracks from cycling till women.
- What's your plan for this year?
- I have an album dropping out this year, it's called 'Mirakuru'. 'Mirakuru' is featured in the mix aswell. In Japanese it means 'Miracle', the name came from a TV show called 'Arrow'. Also, I have lined-up a release on Liquicity.
I hope I can play in many European countries this year, such as Germany, Belgium, Austria and the UK.

- Why have you started to produce dnb?
- I have always been passionate about Drum & Bass, since I was in my teens. I had decks growing up and I did a Music Technology degree just to give myself the skills to follow my love for the music!

- Whose music inspires you mostly?
- Oooph great question… I don't think there is anyone in particular now, but when I was 15/16 and came across High Contrast - High Society album, all I wanted to do was make Drum & Bass like that!

- What was the first dnb track which you ever heard?
- EZ Rollers - Walk This Land (Paradise Remix)...I used to record all my favourite tracks from radio & my brothers CD collection onto cassette tape and listen to them, I distinctly remember being mesmerised by that EZ Rollers track from 'Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrells'... The Paradise remix was something else!! (I was 10 years old).

- Tell me a little bit about your future plans?
- I have been slack on the beats due to other career commitments outside of music… I would like to get back on it, get some more gigs abroad... Continue to work with guys that support me like Maris at Liquicity and  Marco & Valentin at Fokuz Recordings. I have my first set in London coming soon at Fabric so getting more things down there would be sick too!

Interview with Surplus:

- This is great selection! Why did you choose these tracks?
- Thanks mate, a lot of these tracks are tracks coming out on Soul Trader so obviously these are tracks I'm feeling and wanting the world to hear :) The rest are tunes that I'm currently feeling and feel compliment each other.
- Why did you start producing dnb?
- Hmmm good question, I started DJing in 1996 and got slowly more and more into it, so I guess production was a logical step from there. I started producing in 2000 on a hardware setup, however life had other ideas and I stopped altogether in 2005. After years being away from music I finally got bitten by the bug again last year and am now fully hooked again LOL.
- How can define your style?
- In terms of Djing, I don't really like to stick to one particular style but like to play a little bit of everything. The music I produce tends to lean a little more towards the liquid and soulful end of the spectrum although I do from time to time work on more techy stuff to varying levels of success.
- Who were the biggest influences on your music?
- I guess growing up my parents used to listen to a lot of Motown music like the Jackson 5, Diana Ross etc and I remember being interested in a lot of that music, as I got older I got into Hip Hop and was listening to Tupac, Public Enemy and Nas , I guess it's then I started getting interested in DJing and how music was put together, I think my first exposure to Rave was getting given tape packs at school in the early 90's with guys like Easygroove, Ellis Dee, Carl Cox, Grooverider and the early pioneers. Now days I try and listen to as much music as possible to get influences and maybe the odd sample, but this is not always easy to find time to do
- You have your own record label, The Soul Trader. Can you tell me artists who have released tracks here?
- We have signed quite a few releases from a variety of guys, BCee, Skynet,  Random Movement, HLZ, Salaryman and McLeod have all signed tracks to us and we have signed albums from AudioSketch and Drifta with a lot of other artists all contributing towards these like Total Science, Concord Dawn, Bcee and David Boomah. We have also drafted in remixes from quite a few producers.
- What will be the next big thing on The Soul Trader?
- Probably our vinyl series which starts with an EP featuring Digital, Skynet and Random Movement, followed by the two albums which are really coming together.
- What's your future plan as Surplus?
- Right now just to keep progressing, try and improve and learn, I still have a long way to go. I have some releases coming out on Fokuz, Soul Deep, Celsius and I have tracks which have just dropped on Mindtech and Soul Trader. I'm working on various collabs which is something I enjoy. I would like at some point to do an album but don't feel I'm at a stage right now to be able to write enough quality in a short period, so will probably just put stuff out as singles as and when.

Hi, my name is Lars Vegas. I've listened to drum and bass almost 10 years (wow I just realised it). I've been Djing since I was 13. I started with Reggae and Dancehall which slowly turned into some serious DnB. I love my very techy DnB :)

I chose these tracks because basically they are always on my Iphone (after an accidental reset I put them back straight away). 

As German I can't miss this chance to use some tracks of Rammstein. I hope you guys enjoy my mix.

I met this strange alien here on Soundcloud and after a few chats I could convince him to make a mix for me.

It wasn't easy coz he, sorry, it is quite introvert. It doesn't like to talk too much about itself but I think that's highly understandable.
So, BattleDrone is a space traveler and Earth is just one of those planets it visits now and then. As it said "It's the only planet with McDonalds".

It turned out that their interplanetary wavelength communication is the same as we call drum and bass.

First time when I heard its crazy jazzy jungle drums and beats just blew my mind! 

What a great way of communication :)

Over the last two years Philth has released a steady stream of EP’s across some of the genres most respected labels, with his cinematic vision giving us The Beasts, The Cosmos, The Elements, The Circle and most recently The Mammoth, which drew heavy support from London Elektricity. In the midst of this series he has delivered Attenborough-inspired singles with sparring partner Agman Gora, the anthem ‘Don’t Let Go’ and follow up VIP with regular collaborator Collette Warren, and made numerous guest appearances most notably on Riya’s ‘Sublimation’ LP and the subsequent Deluxe Edition. Just Greg Retrospective Mix #32 By N-VA (Free Download)

Billy Green: - This mix represents my current favourite aesthetic in bass music. Jungle and drum and bass feature heavily, but other styles such as dubstep and dark techno have always moved me in a similar fashion. The track selection is heavily influenced by the current bass music scene in Sydney - with the lockouts in effect the party people have migrated to warehouses and other obscure venues, and I am noticing the focus for parties span multiple styles of music with emphasis placed on the party itself. These are the tunes that I like to hear in such settings, with most of them being released in the past 6 months or so.

Just Greg Retrospective Mix #36 By Billy Green (Free Download)

A veteran of the drum n bass scene in Sydney, Pappa Jase made his mark on d’n’b in 1995, having been a prominent house dj (youngjase) for many years. As resident and co-founder of the seminal drum & bass club Basscode in the 90’s, he was instrumental in shaping the scene. At a time when Jungle was the dominant sound, Basscode was one of the first clubs to bring the more musical side of drum & bass to the masses, and Pappa Jase was a pioneer of the melodic drum n bass sound, known today as liquid.

The mix
In August, each year, as the winter season closes, there is always a brief moment where the weather is unusually warm. That moment brings anticipation for summer, and the sounds on this mix are inspired by that approaching summer feeling. Touches of reggae and soul, these are sunsets, drum & bass style.

Hi there my name's Lindsay and I'm a DnB Producer/DJ from Sydney. I've been listening to Drum & Bass for quite some time now after discovering it through playing Video Games.

For this mix I've thrown down some tunes I've been digging lately, whether it's because I've been playing them out at gigs/parties, or I've been listening to them while I'm out/at home. For me to describe the mix, it's a rollers mix with a liquid flavour that doesn't take itself too seriously, but still flows well from start to end. Hey.... this is Jof, aka Discord, residing in tropical North Queensland, and this my Just Greg podcast mix.

1. Nympho - Whenever you need me.... love this track...didn't really get to use it much when it first came out, but this opportunity came up to do something lighter than my usual style, so this was always going to be included in the mix.
2, 4, 8, & 9, are all my productions on a lighter tip. (2)Bond Street, and (4) Nixon are a little older, but I very rarely get to play them.
(8) 8 E's is a new 80's synth driven number, hence the title, and (9) Smood is also brand new and deserving of a spot in this mix.
(3) Satl...quickly becoming a proper name in the liquid genre...love this.
(5) Seba...  just because its Seba. Quality, as always.
(6) St.Files... this hasnt left my bag since it was released. Seminal track.
(7) Spirit....nothing ever needs to be said about this guy and his music. This is my track of 2018...hands down!

Tali (Fokuz Recordings) is an accomplished songwriter, teacher, mentor, inspirational speaker, and more recently - author. She is sought after for her experience as one of the most prolific Female MC/Vocalists to emerge from the International Electronic Dance music scene - particularly for her work and ground-breaking achievements within Drum and Bass.

Tali has with worked with some of the biggest names in Drum and Bass and toured the world several times over as both an MC and with a live band. She has released six studio albums, numerous singles both as a solo artist and collaboratively, has won three Drum and Bass awards, had a UK top 40 hit and is one of handful of Female artists to ever grace the cover of DJ Mag International.

Tali has just completed her brand new Drum n Bass album 'Love & Migration' which is due for release in October 2018 and which has been signed to International DnB label Fokuz Recordings. This is her first DnB album in seven years and has guest production and vocal features from the likes of SATL, The Vanguard project, Macca, Roygreen and Protone, Degs, DRS plus many more. She is about to undertake a mini European and UK tour to celebrate the launch of this record. 

Originally hailing from London, UK, Chiccoreli (Liquid Lowdown) is a DJ and Radio host. Since arriving in NZ just over six years ago Chiccoreli has played at several festivals around NZ including Rhythm and Vines, Rhythm and Alps, Wanderlust, Northern Bass and Splore. He has also opened for many visiting international Drum n Bass DJ/producers such as Goldie, Hospital Records, Spectrasoul, Lenzman, and Logistics just to name a few.
More recently Chiccoreli has hosted his own 'Liquid Lowdown' nights at Neck Of The Woods, with guest appearances from UK DJ's A.I, Poland's SATL and New Zealand's own Wolf and Snake.
