For extended use for summer and beyond, "STRCTR010" packs exactly the right amount of chilled-out loungey bliss and delectably carefree floor dynamics to freshen up the hot dancing bodies out there.

Served cool, "Cocktail" breaks the EP into the rousing melody of processed xylophones and prismatic synths from above, laced together by a Chicago-informed jacking swing that's sure to both uplift crowds and keep the dancers wading knee-deep in their own sweat from start to finish.

Cosmonection & Tour - Maubourg - Igualada

Our new guest is @cosmonection

Behind the spatial pseudonym of the Parisian producer Adrien Erra hides an overflowing energy and a two-faceted music, rhythmic and aerial, and as well influenced by the house of Detroit as by balearic house inspirations of Ibiza. In 2016, he participated in the creation of the label Pont Neuf Records on which he signed three first tracks. His first two EPs 10 Feet Before The Horizon on Pont Neuf and Menorca on Jimpster’s imprint Delusions of Grandeur go out in 2018 and mark the beginning of a long series of release, with no less than 5 new EPs in 2 years: Odyssey and Talamanca on Pont Neuf, Venezia and
Despair Roads on the Australian label Beats Of No Nation but also Mist in collaboration with the producer Tour-Maubourg on STRCTR.
The Parisian producer displays a sound universe always more complex and mature, and attracts many eyes on him, so much so that Mixmag describes him as ‘‘one of the fast-rising producers of the moment’’. His first album Hidden Places is set to be released on May 13th, 2022 on Pont Neuf and with it a turning point in the still young career of Cosmonection.

Cosmonection - Be my guest mix

At the forefront of France's flourishing electronic scene, Cosmonection teams up on this new single with Magycal N (aka French progressive soul artist Gystere) and Cesar. The track is inspired by the madness of carnivals and takes us to a realm mixing house and dancehall influences. The track is also accompanied by a music video shot in Mallorca two weeks ago by New York director Jacqueline de Gorter, in which the French producer and his two acolytes meet a group of dancers bewitched by the track's music.

There are few artists capable of mixing balearic and deep-house universes, tinged with a touch of jazz. Cosmonection is one of them, and it is not for nothing that Mixmag defined him for his 2nd EP as « one of the fast-rising producers of the moment ».

In just 2 years, he has established himself as one of the spearheads of this new hyperactive French scene by releasing no less than 4 EPs, including two on Pont Neuf, in England on the Jimpster’s label, Delusions of Grandeur, or even in Australia on Beats Of No Nation.

Cosmonection is back in 2020 with Talamanca, a new 4-track EP as festive as it is melancholic. « I decided to work with a lot more organic materials to add more warmth to my sound » he says. « Carnaval » opens this new maxi, with catchy percussions supported by a progressive Rhodes lead. The EP’s eponymous title, « Talamanca » emphases his unconditional love for balearic house sounds, as aerial as they are groovy. « Bailar Contigo » appears as a track designed for piano house atmosphere, modernized by the specific Parisian producer’s touch. It is finally in collaboration with Tour-Maubourg that this EP closes with « La Selva », a deep-house ballad carried by vaporous layers and guitar riffs.

Parisian Cosmonection is back for his second outing on Beats Of No Nation. This time a little deeper and more refined but with that same groove that piqued our interest the first time round.

We premiere, Maerado - a percussive swung techy workout, underpinned by a whirring South Asian, Desi undertone. This snaps in and out of action as soon as you're soon met by the chord progression and the punchy bass line, which both combine and meld seamlessly into the mix. The anchored loop washes over and over in hypnotic like synchronicity - with elements delicately and gradually added and removed from the mix. If this is your bag, the rest of the record is most definetely worth a look, with cuts both suitable for the armchair or indeed the floor.
