Paris ; Its grey tar, its brutal pigeons and its heavy air. It’s typically what Adrien, Antoine, David and Douglas try to avoid. The four comrades feel at ease in less urban spaces, CABUCO is that exotic fantasy. 

David and Douglas - coming from BURNING PEACOCKS and FLO MORRISSEY respectively - give the project its 90’s pop rhythmics to which is added the soft melancholia of Antoine and Adrien. Resulting in a quartet mixing absurdism and low-brow humor.  ​

Living between San Fran and DC, Jonathan Meacham aka Diggs Duke is firmly cemented in the exciting soul & jazz scene coming out of the US. Rooted in jazz, Meacham’s arrangements eschew traditional song structure for a looser groove-based aesthetic, punctuated with short bursts of Dwele-esque vocals.

It takes a certain kind of musical talent to fit such a wealth of ideas into this small a space without things feeling cramped. This new single sees him doing just that: both sides of the record show off a gorgeous musicality that ties together its many constituent parts.

'Water For Sale' beds in hip hop bounce while paying dues to lovelorn R&B. The mainstay is Diggs' piano, a reminder of his shining talent as a musician.
