Deeplomatic will be releasing the V.A. album “Beat It Cancer” on the 22nd of October, International Breast Cancer Day. The album aims to raise awareness about cancer through electronic music and boost donations towards cancer prevention organizations. For this purpose, Deeplomatic has teamed up with Breast Cancer UK and Children with Cancer UK, two charitable organizations working to prevent cancer through scientific understanding, collaboration, education and policy change. All profits related to this album will be donated to Breast Cancer UK and Children with Cancer UK for cancer research.

“Beat It Cancer” consists of 35 tracks ranging from Deep House to Techno from artists such as Sandy Rivera, Yaya, The Cube Guys, Toni Varga, Denney, Cristian Varela, Simone Vitullo, Hito, Crazibiza and label boss Alex Ferrer among others.
“Many of the artists, felt drawn to the project as they have lost friends, family and colleagues to cancer. It is a personal project for myself as well, hope we can provide our grain of sand to the collective fight of this horrible disease” Alex Ferrer.

Renowned for his ability to bring creativity and flair to his wild remixes, edits and re-edits, Riva Starr is a hugely welcome new addition into the Saved fold. Bringing a special collection of new edits, the producer displays the kind of dexterity that has made him so impossible to pigeonhole over the last decade. First up, Riva delivers a driving and energetic mashup of Roland Clark’s “Your First Time” and Paul C & Paolo Martini’s “Take Some Time.” Frenetic percussion in the top end and futuristic FXs create a party-focused pace as the dubby atmospheres and pumping beats add the power and momentum. The ghetto-funk vocal adds another dimension to make this Riva’s own personal homage to the history of house music. Riva’s edit of Rino Cerrone & Fabio Diaz’s “Extraordinary Wiring” is a dizzying, head-spinning workout that swirls and shakes with an unsteadying disposition. Funky drums interplay with highly distorted synths and mechanical sounding basslines to create a sound that is at once playful, addictive and unstoppable.

When Mauro Picotto&#8217;s enormous New Time New Place landed in 2003, it came as one of the pioneering Italian techno producer&#8217;s most stunning tracks yet. 10 years on and it still sounds incredibly fresh and unlike any other track, fizzing with rampant synth energy, thumping beats and delightfully warped, ultra-melodic riffs. It&#8217;s lost none of its charisma or power over time, and still does the damage on a contemporary dancefloor. Great Stuff are bringing back this classic for a new generation, along with three immense remixes.

Dosem comes fresh from big releases for the likes of Intec Digital armed with an absolutely killer groove, laden with chugging sub bass and bouncy percussion. He teases the original&#8217;s soaring chord progression in and out of focus, making for a tensely contrasted version.

Holland&#8217;s Egbert goes heavy on the cowbell and makes the most out of the original&#8217;s manifold refrains, extracting the maximum energy from the sounds therein and fusing them to a funk-fuelled groove that fans of Joris Voorn will likely appreciate. His remix builds pleasingly, utilising the original&#8217;s parts in gradual fashion to reach a fever pitch.

Gary Beck has other ideas, however. He loops the riffs into submission, slowly building a steamroller of a groove that&#8217;s got pace and lots of classic techno weight. The cymbal rides are tough, the bass is murky and dark, and it&#8217;s one for those who likes things tough and heads-down.
