Bonga is arguably the most successful Angolan artist to popularize Semba music internationally, and usually known for his iconic track "Mona Ki Ngi Xica”.

About Bonga :
Bonga is one of Africa’s most inspirational musicians and part of the rare type of artists whose art derives its power from social and political upheaval. This Angolan legend recorded his first albums during his country’s struggle for freedom from Portuguese rule in the early 1970s. He has earned his place along side artists such as Fela Kuti, Thomas Mapfumo and Miriam Makeba as an advocate of the independence of Africa.

About Sean Toja :
Multidisciplinary artist based in Mérida, Mexico. Hailing from the mayan jungle of Dzibilchaltún for the past 6 years, peaceful area near ruins and cenotes where he has found a source of inspiration.  Sean enjoys the slow-life and the perks of living surrounded by nature.  In his music and analog collages he attempts to express his multi cultural vision and reconnect with the past in image and sound, giving a new perspective and interpretation. About this edit :
The song "Nana del Caballo grande" was a theme that came to light in 1979 in the album called Leyenda del tiempo, it is a poetry by García Lorca (one of the greatest poets of Spanish history) skilfully set to music by Ricardo Pachón, introducing the Sitar, which was an extremely rare instrument for this time. This was an album that marked a before and after in the musical history of Spain.
Camarón de la Isla is considered a transgressor in gypsy culture, and one of the first brave people to mix Flamenco with other musical styles. And this remix is ​​my humble tribute to this great artist who opened the door to so much musical miscegenation that was so important to get to where we are today musically in this country, where I have lived my last 12 years and that has welcomed me with so many things to offer.

Bruno Lima a.k.a. Dj Sonorus is a music producer, musician and DJ working with music for the las 15 years, went to Barcelona - Spain in 2009 to finish his studies in Audio Engineering. He set up his own recording studio in 2010 and since then he records and produces and records artists from all over the world in Estudio Sonoro. As a DJ he mixes influences ranging from Hip Hop to World Music, Brazilian to Reggae, Electronic to Jazz, SoulGroove to Cumbia.
In each set that he does, he seeks to merge the influences of the past with what is current, to mix the rhythms of the world with the electronic and create an atmosphere that makes people dance and have fun with a musical environment full of joy and good vibes.

O conceito de modernidade líquida foi desenvolvido pelo sociólogo polonês Zygmunt Bauman e diz respeito a uma nova época em que as relações sociais, econômicas e de produção são frágeis, fugazes e maleáveis, como os líquidos. O conceito opõe-se, na obra de Bauman, ao conceito de modernidade sólida, quando as relações eram solidamente estabelecidas, tendendo a serem mais fortes e duradouras.

"Raso" é uma música que divaga sobre essa reflexão do passageiro, da falta de empatia, de não estar de corpo e alma presente...é uma reflexão sobre o não prestar atenção no momento de agora e ficar mirabolante no futuro.

Até o fim da produção dessa faixa, achei que estava criando ela para outras pessoas com quem tive experiências rasas, mas depois de um tempo, fui percebendo que era um ensinamento para mim mesmo, nessa busca do profundo.

About this edit :
The original piece was shown to me on a sunny afternoon last summer in Brazil by a very dear friend, who said “dude you gotta remix this song, it’s so beautiful”.
From the admiration I feel for this friend came the inspiration to start the project. The process felt nourishing especially when I was studying the chords since they’re not on the usual 4/4 progression.

The story, by El Extravagante:

This is a very special song, written and recorded in Montréal, our Cosmovision Records city!, it was during the famous ¨bed-in for peace¨  in 1969 by John Lennon and Yoko Ono at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, where also the picture of this cover was taken. 

All my life a big fan of these 2 artists and their peace activism, this song makes me happy and gives me light and hope to know that we are here to make a positive change, despite the circumstances we can always do something and to raise awareness of the importance of peace in the world should always be a priority.

It breaks my heart to see all these wars happening, with music friends being affected and even If maybe I can't do much, I chose to speak up for peace from this little place we have as artists. Please, anywhere you are never forget to speak up for peace, ¨dance for peace, make love for peace¨ and that  ¨Peace is like mantra that we have to repeat over and over¨ J.Lennon.

When two DJs, producers and music lovers come together for the same cause, only a dream result can come out like this funky edit with hot Spanish flavor. This union is that of El Extravagante from Santiago, Chile and Bob Marius from Mallorca, Spain, who met to share their knowledge and musical taste reflected in this edit of the song "Tangos del Agujero" by Radio Tarifa from their album "Rumba Argelina" (1993 record label BMG, currently known as like Sony Music). 
Pure Andalusian folklore with oriental Arabic tunes and incursions into flamenco, here remixed with a Dembow beat and original arrangements in clapping and accompanying instrumentation.

So it´s a kinda crossover-ish remix approach ;)
"The Fish" is a highly hip-shaking funk-approach on bouncy downtempo.
But who doesn´t like some good old hip-hop vocals blended into that?
Therefore Senior Citizen made the mashup with the vocals of "Newclus -Jam On It" to extend the song even further.

Max Tenrom is a friend, and above all, an artist I really admire. When I first heard 'Moka', I was immediately captivated by the incredibly inspiring vocals that invite you on a journey, and by the violin that resonated with me internally. I also enjoyed the overall groove of the track. For this remix, I wanted to bring in my melodic touch and add a hint of oriental influence, while contrasting it with techno elements, including my bassline and some melodic techno synths. Talia Issouf - Ténéré D'Assouf is part of the compilation of artists from Sahel Sounds.This music was recorded during the filming of the documentary a story of Sahel Sounds in 2014. The film provides an inside look at Christopher Kirkley’s project “Sahel Sounds” - a blog, record label and platform to explore arts and music of the Sahel region through non-tradi- tional ethnographic fieldwork. 
The musicians featured on the original Soundtrack represent different styles and approach- es of the rich music scene of Niger. Tuareg fused Haussa-Pop, Keyboard-Synth-Psych or trancelike acapella-chants, it`s not a selection by Genre or Tradition, as well as there is no artificial sound manipulation. it follows Christopher Kirkley’s way of working with sound, therefore including the surrounding ambience is very characteristic to these so called Fiel recordings. Listening to and recording music involves numerous aesthetic, political and so- cial aspects, which are often influenced or even lost when working in a so called profes- sional recording environment. Field recording is an attempt to transport these raw aspects to the listener, exactly as they were experienced. Therefore the difference to the artificial, perfect studio recording is an organic and authentic uniqueness in sound. Not a strict portrait, nor a straight music documentary, a story of Sahel Sounds cele- brates the wide range of musical performances of current artists from Niger, while leaving room to reflect on today’s role of ethnomusicology. This film also attempts to bridge cultural and geographical distances, offering a new view of Niger and a region that is often represented as a “Red- Zone-Area”.
