About this edit :
At the latest when you see Hermit Bob talking to mushrooms and scorning the mischief of mindless capitalistic consumerism, you know it's time to bring Tom Waits home to the club! By this I mean in particular the growing transcultural communities of transformation festivals and mindful clubbing worldwide concerned about global awareness and sustainability!
Looks like I can't talk about Tom Waits without talking about Jim Jarmusch... But besides my great admiration for both their artistic authenticity, sensitivity and for sure Tom's distinctive voice it were simply the raspy scat vocals that hooked me immediately to create this edit. Pure fun really!
The track combines two versions of the song (album 1976/Paris 1979) and brings them together slowed down with a cool shuffled downtempo vibe. The focus is on the scat vocals and original samples that work in A-Minor for a little more mysterious vibe.
And of course the notion of (not only) pasties is also - yes: delicate! We mustn't forget that part! Enjoy the ride!

The m.age.project takes the listener on a colorful trip into cross-genre realms of various cultural influences and state-of-the-art electronic sounds. Producer and DJ Matthias Harnitz from Hannover/Germany, profoundly equipped with essential skills of a classically trained jazz piano player, is the musical mind behind the m.age.project and he can already look back on numerous releases on labels such as Sony Music, Lump Records (Chile), Baikal Nomads (Russia), Ohxalá Records (Portugal) and Shango Records (Greece). His music is broadcasted by international radio stations like Ibiza Global Radio and musical collaborations include acclaimed artists of the contemporary organic house/downtempo scene such as Holed Coin (Spain), Jean Vayat (Ukraine), Juliano Gomez (Brazil), Slow Nomaden and Lui Mafuta (Germany).  In 2013 Matthias Harnitz was given the special honor of composing and playing music for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The work was performed with 400 kids and young people during the Nobel Peace Prize winner's visit to Hannover as part of an educational event concerning the future prospects for children and the need for a Global Ethic.
The release of the daring album "Tattoo Tara" marked the defining step from balearic chill-out onto the stage of world music influenced club sounds. With beard braids behind the turntables the dedicated DJ successfully premiered his fresh signature sound of deep rhythms, ethnic elements and synthesized wizardry at one of Europe's most respected worldbeat festivals, "Masala", in 2017. Today the m.age.project is manifesting as a highly appreciated gem for cosmopolitan listeners, dance-loving festival fans and like-minded artists of a transcultural electronica movement all around the globe!

José Carlos Nievas (Bujalance, 1966). 

Artista plástico y visual, vídeo escenógrafo, fotógrafo teatral y soporte técnico para artistas visuales. Graduado en fotografía en la Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos de Córdoba. 
Participó en la 14 Bienal de La Habana (2022) con el proyecto No Future en la que retrata músicos que caminan de una forma independiente. 
Ha dirigido trabajos para: Ampanoia, Hombre Gancho, Lapido, Malparaiso, Digital 21, José Antonio Rodríguez &amp; David De María, etc. Video- escenografías para: La Flauta Mágica (2020 y 2019), Norma (2017) y El Barrio de las Letras (2017), etc.
