Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

So in America when the sun goes down and I sit on the old broken-down river pier watching the long, long skies over New Jersey and sense all that raw land that rolls in one unbelievable huge bulge over to the West Coast, and all that road going, all the people dreaming in the immensity of it, and in Iowa I know by now the children must be crying in the land where they let the children cry, and tonight the start’ll be out, and don’t you know that God is Pooh Bear? the evening  star  must  be drooping and shedding her sparkler dims on the prairie, which is just before the coming of complete night  that  blesses  the  earth,  darkens  all  rivers,  cups  the  peaks  and  folds  the  final  shore  in,  and nobody, nobody knows what’s going to happen to anybody besides the forlorn rags of growing old. All things, all memories, all dreams, relationships, endless love and cruel hate, the morning and the deep night, the endless memories of space, reality and imagination are road. All roads lead to emotions and deep love and music itself. Seba Campos is a man with deep emotions and love for the road. This is his first offering for Shango Records. This track can paint a Summer of your dreams. Geplantes Nichtstun and Narcise (Mex) are taking the long road back to your heart.

“Les heureux tropiques” (The happy tropics) is a set of sketches from adventures of travelers that come to South America and fall in love with the warm breeze and the vibes we have. In the 3 original tracks, we go from Brazilian bossa, to Cuban son, then latin jazz, each one picturing a moment in the lives of all the people that come and fall in love with this land.
Completed by 3 remixes which are more dance floor oriented, the EP is the first release of blue Dietrich with Tropical Twista, and a perfect start in the label.

Senka (shadows) brings you a diversity of scenery. It
takes you to a warm crowded marketplace where baselines
and clarinet form a rhythmic coalition. While percussion
waves you towards the shadows, lyrical melodies come and
go from time to time.

After a sphere of calmness, acid sounds start rising
mingled with darbuka and tapan. At the point of highest
tension, melancholic clarinet sounds reflect acceptance.

Goro and the members of Mèraque met in 2020 in Amsterdam.
They share the love for both electronic as acoustic folk
music, became friends and created Senka together. 

Remixes on this EP are provided by great friend, talented SEVN and our favorite partner Sinai <3

Ladies and gentlemen, from a mysterious place in the Mesoamerican jungle we have found a treasure, a mystical object called Yokha. If you are ready to see it, it's a treasure that we will share with you today, come with us…

Yokha is a journey into the depths of the jungle, an invitation to a secret ritual. A spiritual union of energies between two souls connected through artistic creation. Conceived by Cyma and Janax Pacha, two sound artisans from South America who on this occasion immerse us in the rhythms of dances and melodic textures that, suspended like lianas, they dialogue harmoniously between the heat of the fire and the mysterious gazes of the jungle.

As one of the stellar releases of Cosmovision Records this year, a collaboration full of magic and colors. All this accompanied by 3 stars of folktronica and downtempo music such as Rodrigo Gallardo, Uji and our house artist Hajna, forming an EP full of life and nature elements that shine on its own.

The wonderful art was made by our genius friend El Tripador and as always, the download is free in "pay what you can" mode on Bandcamp plus available as well in all platforms.
