On The Magic Movements latest trick, Xique-Xique from Sao Paulo paints a psychedelic panorama of the mysterious world of Amazonia, full of waterfalls, bellicose woman, and an endless flora & fauna. By combining brazilian rhythms with elements of techno, dubby house and plenty of bird sounds they create a unique bunch of vivid slow jams to get lost in.
Beeing already a classic in the infamous circles, „Xaxoeira“ is finally available on vinyl! This vibey masterpiece is the straightest of the bunch, a proper slow-mo House tune, with a dark flute sample and a broken organ that grinds its way into the deepest corners of your brain.
Nicola Cruz delivers a superb remix of „Xaxoeira“ which adds rolling percussions and delay madness to the original material.

Be Svendsen gets set to release the enchanting Twilight in Tankwa on Rebellion following his successful remix of NU’s Man O To on sister label Crosstown Rebels. Remix treatment comes courtesy of Berlin native Nico Stojan. 

Twilight in Tankwa is a mystical and musical journey that Be Svendsen explains “is the result of decades long intimate relationship with outdoor rhythmic dance experience. The foundation of the track is rooted in a synth hook from the early 50's. The vocal, inspired by a barbershop quartet, work to give it the character of a true desert hymn."

The remix comes from Nico Stojan who twists a fresh melody into the original over driving undertones. Having honed his musical style as resident at the infamous Bar25 in Berlin, he has also released on labels like Highgrade, Connaisseur and Upon You records.

Equally alluring, second original track Scarecrow was brought about by AYAWAKE who wrote and recorded the vocals. He generously passed on to Be who honored it as the crown work of his cowboy-tech-tribute to the Ennio Morricone soundtracks of the late 60's. 
Be Svendsen aka Lasse Bruhn Svendsen broke through into the international scene in 2014 with a series of productions and enchanting live performances at some of the most avant garde places to play on the earth, such as BOOM festival, Fusion, Burning Man, Symbiosis, Rainbow Serpent and AfrikaBurn.

Arecibo is a place that represents something fascinating to me. Located on Puerto Rico, it is the home of an enormous radio telescope in the middle of the jungle. The telescope studies celestial bodies and the radiation they emit. The Jaguar explores these kind of dualities in music; biological and technological, spiritual and scientific, modern and ancient, celestial and earthly.

Duat was inspired by an ancient Egyptian myth. The Duat is the place where the deceased Pharaohs would journey to after death. Guided by guitarist Raffaello Visconti the song takes you on a trip through the underworld, full of challenges, riddles, monsters and supernatural beings. When the deceased would successfully have made their way through the Duat, they would enjoy eternity amongst the Gods.

Astraea was born out of a particularly difficult mushroom trip. Starting out nice and peaceful, at some point a spark ignited in my head, and from there on i was stuck in a loop of negative thoughts. My existence, everything about what it meant to be myself, got folded into each other, back and forth, while trying to be present in all these different layers of reality. The whole thing had an evil quality, but at the same time, it was beautiful.

The Zebra Centauri remix of Arecibo takes you on a futuristic and intense journey. Cosmic synthesizers combine with radio waves sent from deep down in the jungle. Leaning more toward the electronic side this remix sends the listener on a journey from Earth to the stars.

Visual artist Bakea invites us to have a glance into another world, an alternate reality where musicality seems as a part of nature as the mountains and clouds across the skies, perfectly lining up with the otherworldly yet organic atmosphere of the EP.
