Άδηλα και κρύφια (πρώτο μέρος, απόσπασμα)

Wedding song of the Greek Roma people from Sofades, Karditsa, recorded in 1992. Excerpt from the recently published album with the same title. Thanassis Lavidas, vocal and clarinet, Kostas Lavidas, laouto, Vaggelis Bandelas and Dimitris Lazos, darboukas, Me, I did the recording and supervised the compilation and the publication, along with Vangelis Bandelas (who did himself most of the research).

Η τσιάι 'σι λουλουντί ("The bride is a flower")

One of the legendary (at least in our minds) EgoPigo recordings of 1981. The formation of the band EgoPigo was in fact triggered by the constructions of my friend Kostas Pandopoulos who, in 1980 - 81,  created a kind of "no input" feedbacking device by shortcircuiting a portable cassette player. At that time, we had no idea that such techniques are called "no input" and most probably this name was invented up later. Kostas named his instrument Egotron, just like the Melotron. In this particular recording we had inverted our roles, he plays home-made percussion and me, I play his Egotron.

Καταιγίδα was an improvisation, a collaborative effort composed, performed and recorded by Stathis Theocharakis (keyboards) and me (computer programming). Larisa, February 1991. Unfortunately, Stathis passed away yesterday, Aug. 25, 2017, due to a heart attack.
