First of all, excuse the extremely sloppy first solo. I recorded this after two weeks without picking a guitar and my fingers hurted like a motherfucker when I recorded the solo you hear on this one. Betty, who recorded the second one, did awesome as usual!

This version doesn't have the small lead lines between the riffs played by me! So don't be surprised!

E1M1: At Doom's Gate (WIth Guitar Solos!)

Old School metal. You can tell this was written by a teenager back in 1989, but recorded and produced in 2011 by a 40 year old.

First of all, sorry this one sounds so low. I forgot to normalize the song before uploading it. Feel free to download it and normalize it yourself :D

I struggled with this song for way too much time. It was very hard to replicate the feeling I get when listening to the original, and on top of that, the MIDI I used as a base for this project was quite rough on the beginning (this was aknowledged even by the person who did it), but it ended up quite well, I really like it.

This song have a lot of different stuff put in it to make it sound good. I used a Korg Wavestation for the soft strings, a Korg M1 for the fast and low strings, the synth drums were sequenced by me (the original MIDI had something completely different) and used Addictive Drums 2, The ocarina is from a Soundfont, a Moog Taurus doubles the low strings and at the same time there's another that act as a sort of synth, Addictive Keys for the piano and the rest of the instruments are played through the Yamaha S-YXG50 (I have to admit it was my last resort. I got tired of looking for stuff in the WaveStation to replace the MIDI instruments, but it was a good decision, it sounds well).

Original song by Eveline Novakovic (if someone knows her, please send her this track and ask her what she thinks), sequenced by King Meteor, some corrections (specially at the beginning) done by me.

Donkey Kong Country 3 - Water World Cover

There was only one song helding me back from finishing Doom Remakes... Remade! and it was this one. The first album (the one with the Doom 1 songs) is ready to be mixed, but first, I must finish the second album (the one with the Doom II songs).

This song is a little difficult to perform and I had to rely on studio trickery to get it right. In short words, I recorded most of it in D standard, except from the last segment, which was recorded in drop C and the "feedbacks" are just an harmonic reversed with lots of reverb.

I first recorded this song in 2009 and back then I thought nobody had done a version of it that made it justice. It's 2016 and I still haven't heard a version of this song that makes me feel like getting up and headbang or whatever. This one is a MASSIVE improvement over the version in Doom Remakes.

This one is not the final version, though. I know I went off time at the end with the guitars, but I have to wait at least until monday to get back in the studio and I couldn't hold it anymore, I had to share this with the world!

E2M7 - Waltz of the Demons

This is the "text music" from Doom II. I consider this to be maybe the best song I remade from the entire project. Just wait for the guitars to kick in and you will see why!

The picture is a sketch I made for the cover of the album that was used on the second demo tape from the Doom Remakes... Remade! sessions.

A track written, recorded and released in one day, the first in a series of "one day" projects. The imperfections are left intact, in the spirit of letting the performance speak for itself. 

First Thought, Last Thought

I recently remixed some tracks from my 2014 Doom Remakes... Remade! album for a project I am working on. One of them is this usually ignored track that really deserves some love.

This track is special in regards that it goes a bit away from the philosophy of being as faithful as possible that I had when I did the album. I replaced pretty much all the synths for guitars and bass (and a Taurus for this new version, yay!). The reason I did that was because many years ago, when I first heard Make Me Laugh by Anthrax, the opening segment reminded me a lot of Sinister and I wanted to make my new version trying to mimic that feel. I remember doing a more faithful, synth version as well but it was pretty boring compared to this one.

This is one of my favorite tracks from the game!

I am a guitarist and bassist from Chile. My work has to do mostly with thrash metal and videogame music.
