Unseren nächsten Gast und Freund vorzustellen, ist uns eine besondere Freude. In kurz, ist er so tief in der Berner elektronischen Gemeinde verwurzelt, wie nicht viele andere. Angefangen bei seinem Ex-Plattenladen Schwarzmarkt Musik, über seine zahlreichen Auftritte als Dj und Veranstalter bis hin zu seinen Aktivitäten als A&R beim Label Sirion Records, welches international mit ihren Releases Furore macht. Zu guter Letzt ist er nun auch ins Produzieren eingestiegen und darf schon nach kurzer Zeit, eigene, sehr coole Releases feiern. Diesmal hat Bird sich auf fremdes Terrain begeben (oder doch nicht?) und beschenkt uns mit einer Deepnes in seinem Mix, als würde er den ganzen Tag nichts anderes auflegen. Dies zeigt die Vielfältigkeit seines Schaffens und die scheinbare Leichtigkeit, wie er Musik hört und dann für uns aufbereitet. Aber hört doch einfach selbst rein.

Introducing our next guest and friend is a special pleasure. In short, he is as deeply established in the Bernese electronic community as not many others. Starting with his ex-record store Schwarzmarkt Music, over his numerous gigs as Dj and promoter to his activities as A&R at the label Sirion Records, which makes a lot of waves internationally with their releases. Last but not least, he has now also entered the field of production and is already celebrating his own very cool releases after only a short time.This time Bird has ventured into unfamiliar territory (or maybe not?) and gifts us with a deepness in his mix, as if he would DJ nothing else all day.  This shows the diversity of his work and the apparent ease with which he listens to music and then prepares it for us. But just listen for yourself.

Rave Sickness is a French musician based in Toulouse. Since his first EP "Euphonie", released in 2016, his music alternates between electronica and melodic techno. Ambient sounds recorded during his various travels with a handy recorder are a key component of his music. 

His 2-years expatriation in Peru coincided with the composition of his second EP "Piruw", which was influenced by the discovery of local culture and landscapes. Since then, Rave Sickness has released various singles on labels such as Aftertech records and Stil Vor Talent. 

His new EP "Nu World" is based on a similar idea, with a conversation recorded at the Inca city of  Sacsayhuamán.

If i could redo the soundtrack to the movie The Beach, this would be it! It is the perfect mix of something deep and dark, something easy and bright and something beautiful and evil. A perfect balance between yin and yang. It affects me in so many different ways I don't even know where to begin. It makes me wanna cry, travel the world and explore cities i never visited. Tell my 95 year old grandmother I love her and that everything is going to be ok. It makes me longing for sweaty dance floors and connecting with new people. This is the impact Fabian Tanz has! His selection and mixes makes you travel within. A silly and trippy savant within his trade. I feel blessed to know him and to be part of what he does. Thank you Fabian!

► About:
Felipe Torquato aka Spaniol is the creator and resident of the Colectivo Sonido Trópico of São Paulo with whom he created transcendental parties in the city center. At 7 years old he chose a path of music and to never stray. At the age of 9 entered the São Paulo Conservatory, where he studied Classic guitar and Flutes until his 16 when he discovered electronic music by a lucky mistake!
His sound is a mixture of all that surrounds him, having played in the biggest clubs in Berlin (Katerblau, Sisyphos), Brazil, Ibiza and the US. He takes elements of classical music and flashes of Brazilian popular music, managing to make his live set a unique and edgy mix of electronic, caimbó, jazz, samba, regional music, drum machines, but without taking the electronic energy.

We don’t often invite people to run the FACT Mix gauntlet more than once – but if anyone gets to bend the rules, it’s Klock.

The Berlin titan last graced these parts back in 2009, filing a muscular FACT Mix entirely in keeping with his reputation as Berghain’s bosher-in-chief. The last five years have seen him consolidate his reputation as a standard bearer of refined, take-no-prisoners techno; his eight-hour-plus sets continue to shake Berghain’s foundations, and, although his output has slowed substantially, he’s still found time to knock out the occasional release on Ostgut Ton. His Klockworks label continues to tick along, too - new releases from fellow FACT mixer Trevino and Etapp Kyle are imminent, plus, if a forthcoming stint of “studio time” comes good, potentially more new music from Klock himself.

Those expecting pulverising 4×4 might be surprised by Klock’s sophomore FACT mix – a “deeper, dreamy” collection, bookended by two vintage ambient tracks and shot through with wonder. Unreleased Klockworks material features, as do cuts from the likes of Function, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Orgue Electronique and Lucy. The mix is a studio-recorded affair – something Klock sees as a very different kettle of fish to playing out: “Club mixes are obviously more spontaneous and capture the vibe of a specific night, while working in the studio offers other possibilities like re-editing tracks and layering tunes more precisely, which I’ve done a lot of that here.” Set your watches…

Bio:
Skymn started his journey studying art and developed an interest for audio installations. After a number of exhibitions in Sweden and Germany he began producing more techno inspired compositions which lead to his first release "Doctrine" in early 2015. This release was warmly welcomed by big names in the technoscene. He is one of the names in the clergy of Hypnus Records and Nordanvind Records. 
Currently working on new releases , Skymn will continue to spread his works.
