Maison D’etre’s moody masters have been at it again. Long-time friends, Gel Abril and Anthony Middleton have combined forces to produce more than a collaborative EP. ‘All in the Mind’ is a dexterous fusion melding what could be considered contrasting styles into balanced compliment. ‘All in the Mind’ is murky, provocative, groovy- all that is that is Maison D. Contrast and compliment, space and balance, much like a friendship this two-track EP shows off the strength of dynamic collaboration, honouring differences and never conformity.

‘All in the Mind,’ showcases both producers’ unique craft; fusing Gel Abril’s signature techno sound with Anthony Middleton’s melodic and spacious arrangements. Thought provoking vocals stretched out across a landscape of rhythmic pads. A tribal space voyage, both stirring and calming, complex yet simple- experiential and unreal all in perfect contradiction. Dark and hypnotic with a techno pad breakdown this beat-rider evokes imagination...It is, after all, ‘All in the Mind’.

‘Hey You’ is a classic track reinvented with some contemporary techno flare. Classic vocals, airy and distant, are laid over super modern tech and synth sounds in a digital Ping-Pong style. This track is all about rhythmic drive with old-school baseline, a combination that is bound to keep the feet dancing well past 4am.

Es zieht euch immer tiefer hinab ins Dunkle. Ohne Tageslicht müsst ihr euch jetzt auf euer Gehör verlassen und lauscht noch konzentrierter auf das, was Nico euch mit seiner Musik erzählen möchte. Es ist aufwühlend und versetzt in Ekstase. Seine Geschichte hat euch jetzt ganz in ihren Bann gezogen und gibt euch erst am Ende des Sets beim Auftauchen wieder frei.

A Toronto based artist and visionary, Founder of Orient Art and organizer at Deep House Toronto. The sound he proposes is rather contradictory, ever changing and always never static, moving from one realm to the other.

His vision is to seclude the two hugely contradictory aspects of the music industry - music and its often-controversial monetization, filtering out nothing but pure art.

For the fifteenth installment of our Movements series we are delighted to have Melbourne based producer Joe Miller step up to the tables. With releases on All Day I Dream, Dream Culture, L’enfant Terrible, Traum, and Manual Music, Miller has cultivated an ethereal and meditative sound that irrespective of mood upon entry, basks the listener in an angelic symphony which quickly departs terra firma to soar amongst the cirrus clouds. One need only look as far as Miller’s A side ‘A Sudden Taste of Redemption’ on his latest release with Dream Culture to wander in the contemplative wonderland of his imagination.

Aside from his talents in production, the set Miller has delivered is nothing short of stunning. Oft being adept in production does not necessarily translate to talent in the mix, but for Miller this could not be farther from the case. Here he has crafted a delicate and mesmerizing voyage, that sets off from Mazzy Star’s bonfire appropriate folk ballad ‘Into Dust' serenely lifting you up and up and away.

The Name EP is a snappy hybrid of House and Minimal. Vorosh, working across several styles, dishes out three dancefloor centric, bold yet simply constructed originals with interlocking groves. Artphorm and Falki Hoz get on the remix duties. While Artphorm's deep electric take on 'Kill Time' draws a big impact, Falki Hoz delivers a new soup with a minimal house base in his signature sound for the remix of title track 'The Name'.
