Nachdem ich über die Jahre zweimal vom Dampfer in die Hammahalle verlegt wurde (das eine Mal während des laufenden Sets) und ich dann etwas unvorbereitet in den heiligen Hallen stand und dann einfach 5 BPM schneller gedreht hab, stand dann vor ein paar Wochen einer der Booker des Sisyphos bei meinem letzten Gig im Kitty neben mir und fragte „Sag mal Hannes, warum haben wir Dich eigentlich noch nie in die Halle gebucht? Wollen wir das mal ändern?“. Aber sowas von! war meine Antwort. Ich konnte nur sonntags aber das ist eh mein liebster Tag auszugehen. Die Traube an Feierwütigen löst sich langsam und die Spreu trennt sich vom Weizen, der Drang schnell zum hedonistischen Höhepunkt zu kommen lässt nach und alles darf sich seine Zeit nehmen. So war das Timing an diesem Sonntag auch perfekt, denn vorher klopfte Kaufmann schon den jetzt fest eingerichteten Tunnel-Floor schön weich wie ein Schnitzel. Um 22 Uhr wurde dann kurzerhand das ganze DJ-Pult einfach in die Halle gerollt und alle, die noch stehen konnten, strömten mit in herein. Mein Plan erstmal etwas runter zu fahren nach der Abfahrt da draußen ging auf, bis ein paar Übermotivierte mich animierten langsam die Handbremse los zu lassen. Was dann passierte war für mich jedenfalls eine Endorphinausschüttung der Extraklasse, bekomme jetzt noch Gänsehaut beim durchhören des Sets und des Wiedererlebens. Viel Spaß!

What startet as my first time ever set at Dampfer floor, ended at Hammahalle in the end. I had to switch floors while deejaying so they could set up the stage for the band after me. That wasn't planned but was a more than funny experience and I just pitched it up to 130bpm and played a bit more forward tracks in the end. Hope you'll enjoy as I did! Sorry for the a bit over gained second part. Didn't adjust the levels properly after the move to Hammahalle.

Happy to share this piece of my personal DJ history with you. 15 years is a long time so I tried to put in some personal classics but still remain a consistent thread in the mix and keep it thrilling. Thank you to everyone who made this day so special to me, especially the Sisyphos crew who welcomed me with open arms even when I came 20 minutes late to my set due to a long aircraft delay.

Musik ist für mich schon immer ein Realitätsfluchthelfer gewesen. Sie ermöglicht es mir mich aus meiner Umgebung  und dem aktuellen Weltgeschehen zurück zu ziehen. Ich kann mich in ihr verkriechen wie in einer Höhle. Diese Höhle ist ein Raum, den ich selbst gestalten kann, in dem ich mich frei bewegen kann und der ein weit verzweigtes Netz, tief in eine andere Welt darstellt. Manchmal ist es einfach den Eingang zu finden und ich muss nur die Augen schließen und die Musik umschließt mich wie warmer Regen, der mir Gänsehaut verschafft. Seit Jahren schwebt mir eine Mixserie vor, mit der ich dieses Gefühl forcieren kann. Musik an, Augen zu und auf Entdeckungsreise gehen: “The Space Between“. Komm mit!

Back then when minimal still was a thing and I was in love with rough and trippy sounds. I was playing records for 3 years and enjoyed how diverse the Berlin nightlife and its inhabitants were. Thinking back it was for sure one of the best times in my life for the development of my confidence in my style as a DJ. I couldn't be happy with the status quo and with playing only one genre up and down. That's why I also started the trancy "Jungstechno" series opposing the rough "Mädchentechno" mixsets. Ok sorry the title is a bit of a clickbait... I don't care how any DJ plays his or her records. But when browsing my old vinyl collection I realised there're not only some gems inside worth playing again but a good amount of personal hits which I still remember in a positive way, every one with a little story in my head. All from around 2005 to 2007 besides two younger exceptions. I didn't mix vinyl for around 10 years and it was much fun putting the needle on the record again even if it's not 100% tight, I enjoyed every transition and the feeling of the sleeves and vinyls in my hands.
