I miss Christian. He was my biggest supporter. I still don't understand why a man like him (such a mastermind guitarist) would listen to my music. Hosanna sounds like a hymn in the vain of "Amazing Grace" as it should be because it is a Biblical word. Love you, brother Marquis. A lot of your music borrows from Christianity, I just wish you would come to terms that this is the only philosophy/religion that makes us free from sin and slavery to satan. Extremely awesome song and very beautifully done! Shalom!

This EP is lovingly dedicated to Alphio, remembered by all of the SoundCloud community as Alpha Roots. 

Alpha Roots brought the irie vibrations and had us all skanking on the regular. His positive lyrics and vocals raised the collective consciousness and his genre spanning tunes, inspired many to collaborate, and kept our creative fires burning. Alpha Roots was a loving soul that will always be remembered by our tight community. We keep the spirit of Alpha Roots alive each time we listen to his music.

For an unknown reason, I always felt a strong urge to make another version of Hosanna and once Alpha Roots passed away, the impetus became undeniable. I was called to ask Soundwanderer, a regular collaborator with Alpha Roots, to lay a new musical foundation over the Binghi Biscuits rhythm. After Soundwanderer dropped the mad flavor with a truly heartfelt and touching musical performance, I asked Janine Levinson to compliment my newly recorded vocals to really make this dedication to Alphio super special. Russ, who also collaborated with Alphio, was the obvious choice to mix and master the track and really bring Alpha Roots' sprit back to life. I did my best to regularly ask Alphio what he wanted with this remake of Hosanna and I feel the song turned out as he would have liked it. 

Huge thanks to Wou-Wou & the Wormling for blessing this song with his beautiful artwork. Wou-Wou listened to the song and was inspired to draw this picture of Jah Lion being hugged by a young spirit; which reminded Russ of this picture of Alpha Roots:

Hello Soundcloud, thanks for the Listens, Likes and Support. Im from Melbourne Australia, I have been playing guitar for many years now and played in two bands during the 80's & 90's (STOLEN CAR original) & (STORM cover),both bands never released any material. Since 2010 i have been writing songs and tunes and recording them in my music room (3rd Bedroom), i play Guitar, Bass, Keys, BFD2 Drums(programmed)and Vocals on all of my songs which i class as Demo's, I love all types of music but Hard Rock, Rock to Alternative appeals to me most.
