There are so many great musicians on SoundCloud, I wish I could make music with everyone of you. I often reflect on all the great music you have all made, how we are constantly making new songs (because that is what artist do), and how many of our great creations can easily get forgotten. Most of our songs don’t get a chance to live like those songs that get repeated on the radio. And while many of us probably don’t like mainstream radio, many of us would probably like our best songs to have a bigger life, or at least shine a little brighter and be remembered a little longer. As a way to breathe additional air into one of our community members older music, I selected 5 tracks from Hot Os discography and remixed them to make “Twenty Twelve”

Humongous thanks to Hot Os for letting me select and edit 5 prime beats as well as raid his Instagram account for Zine images. Massive thanks to Janine Levinson and Jay Walker Black for dropping those hot guest vocals. A guitar friend on SoundCloud had challenged me to make a guitar and piano work earlier this year as it has not been done much.. The guitarist who had agreed to collaborate with me could not record at this time so I used my moon guitar software playing piano motifs.. A performance for reaching 2000 + SC followers. 

It sits on the introspective side of neoclassical but with strong melodic content. The piano improv by itself is very different as the MIDI keyboard does not allow great technical difficulty in performance.

Keith was dabbling with a small keyboard. A little melody flowed.  It all flowed from there. Sometimes the simple beginnings inspire some deep thoughts. Choices always intrigue me - variations on the theme of "should I stay or should I go?" How do you weigh that decision in a relationship? The answer is in the title - when you come to the uncomfortable awareness that there is nothing special to keep you, so Nothing Special is left behind.
