'Smile, Baby' is Couch Cult's second single from their upcoming self-titled EP. The song explores themes of internal conflict, societal pressures, and the struggle to find authenticity and happiness in a world that often demands conformity and surface-level appearances. While there is a theme of disillusionment throughout the song, the beat is driving and upbeat; there is a call to let go, move on, and find solace in the present moment.

In Belize we have an idiom that translates into "old firewood burns easily" - old relationships are easy to rekindle. Synthetic describes what it feels like to be in and out of a nostalgic relationship with an old flame. The juxtaposition of old and new, blame and elevation, signifies changing perspectives, and there's a recurring pattern of attempting to distance oneself from these feelings, yet ultimately yielding to their pull, reflecting a struggle to move on.

Tragedy is one of 5 songs from Couch Cult's first EP. It reflects on the mutual ending of a relationship and the pain associated with making the decision. The repetition of "trying to force together pieces" underscores attempts to salvage the relationship before ultimately realizing that it won't work.

A couple of us binged watched the Woodstock 99 documentary and were left with a painful nostalgic energy that we channeled into this song. We imagined what it would feel like at the end of the historic three day event just before the start of a new millennium and wrote the song from that perspective.
