You can hear one of his brilliant tracks in our oblate mix, released on his label sunken rock recordings.

Here he has put together a great mix of tracks from one of Swedens most controversial artist, Eddie Meduza aka Errol Leonard Nordstedt. Errol was something of a genius that wrestled with mental illnes and alcholism his whole life. He was an outsider artist and a provocateur that was loved by some and shunned by others. He was known for sometimes expressing misogyn wiews, which haunted his career. 
Förslag på musik has made an excelent pick of tracks in this mix that highlights the side of Errol as an humble being and very talented musician. Errol Leonard Nordstedt R.I.P.

¿¡Köçek Mafakka Mashup By C.O.U.?!

Debut production offering from Melbourne based DJ & radio broadcaster Mike Gurrieri, a remix of Australian jazz legend Barney McAll's version of Leon Thomas' 'Precious Energy'.

In late 2019, Barney McAll released an album called 'An Extra Celestial Christmas'. On it includes a track 'Precious Energy' a cover of a Leon Thomas tune featuring the wonderful vocals of Rita Satch.

It is a tune that Barney loved playing during his many years touring as Gary Bartz's pianist so he decided to make a recording of it and make it a homage to two of his heroes, Leon Thomas & Pharaoh Sanders.

From the time of it's release up until the Covid-19 lockdown, Mike was constantly playing it out on both radio & in DJ sets, but wanted to hear it given an extra club-friendly treatment.

After building up the courage to ask Barney for the track stems, he sent them over without hesitation, his only instruction was to "be free". With his blessings, Mike set out to create the remix.

Albert Ayler once said 'music is the healing force of the universe', hopefully this music brings you some positive energy right now at a time when we all really need it.

This music was recorded & produced on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation whose sovereignty was never ceded.

The track was premiered on Tuesday, June 9th on Worldwide FM by Gilles Peterson.

Center Of The Universe aka Dj Sissyfus is a Norwegian electronic music producer who recently turned his output into a mixture of unique ethno disco & warm synthpop. Live, he presents us with enchanting lyrics, catchy melodies, pinches of acid and clarinette playing. He has been releasing close to 15 albums, performing in numerous live bands and has been running his own label Metronomicon Audio since 2000. 

Center of the Universe has been active in the Norwegian underground music scene since 1998 and has in addition to participating in several other projects, found the time to release a whole host of solo albums, including a trilogy where the theme was space and time. It is difficult to give a clear definition of the band’s musical impression, as this tends to change from release to release, but it would not be wrong to say that melody is always at the center. What apparently may begin as a pop song entice you into a world where nothing is as it seems and musical expectations are seldom met. For the Center of the Universe no surna is too high and no bass too deep. He has always walked off the beaten path next to the road less travelled and keeps trudging on in a landscape where the sun shines, vulcanoes erupt and it’s raining guitars, sitars and just plain’ol tars.
