The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. The beats flow smoothly, guiding the listener through a journey that shifts between contemplation and motion.

The title track, “Inspire Me”, expands on this concept with an even more immersive approach. Here, the basslines take on a more experimental character, blending with ethereal pads and pulsating rhythms that evoke both hope and reflection. Ukrainian drum & bass producer Dub Head first began his career as part of the Cybernetic crew in Kiev. His industrial, scientific spin on the genre has since gained him international attention. From his ‘Entropy’ release on imprint Syndrome Audio through to his ‘Bad Signal’ EP on Dispatch Recordings a year later, he’s risen through the charts of trendsetting outlets and has become a sought-after name across set lists. With support from the likes of Noisia, DLR, Icicle and DJ Hype, it’s understandable why his forthcoming album would be welcomed into the catalogue of Dispatch Recordings.

Returning to the imprint for another paradigm shaping output, he stays to his characteristic, carefully honed sound to present his ‘Bring you back online’ LP.

Featuring eight new tracks, Dub Head has pulled together some of his most refined work and with Dispatch having had such an impact on the beginning of his ascent, it was the perfect platform for him to reveal the project.

The percussion heavy sounds of its title-track allow the listener to become aware of what’s to come throughout its track listing, whilst ‘Badboysound’ carries you through on top of rolling breaks and weighty kick drums. Following these cuts, ‘What’s happened’ uses warbling bass notes to cut through its atmospherics, providing yet another darker tone to the collection. Russian producer Eastcolours then joins Dub Head on ‘Switch off’ with its expert synth work. For the next collaboration, Scepticz delivers ‘Minds out the atmosphere’ alongside Dub Head, adding Gusto’s growling vocals. ‘Rust activator’ with hotly tipped newcomer M.Justa offers another side to Dub Head’s uncompromising production standard, bringing their technical prowess together. A pioneer of the deep Russian sound, Black Barrel is the next high-profile addition to the album and together they submerge you in ‘Terminal’. Finally closing with an instrumental of ‘Minds out the atmosphere’, Dub Head walks you through the music he’s been engineering for the last year and as a result, Dispatch pedestals one of his biggest bodies of work.

The artist has become a staple of the Dispatch Recordings roster and the high-quality demonstrated throughout ‘Bring you back online’ proves why.

Each of the four tracks that make up his debut release on our label showcase a slightly different side of his art, commencing with the blurry, switchblades-and-circuitboards Cyberpunk gurgler that is Terra Firma, and ending four tunes later with the smacked out dissociative crescendos of Clandestine, having zigged through the celestial heights and murky depths of Bermuda, and zagged through the pummeling tour de force that is Alien Trip, and honestly, who even does that anymore? And why not? This is the real deal, kinetic, agoraphobic soul for people who have heard it all before but need beats that make them FEEL something as well as beats that make them move. What’s the point otherwise? Get up the yard, meet your Maykors.

It gives us great pleasure to welcome back one of the label’s very good friends, Neve! 

With his latest release on Unchained, Neve expresses more of his own well-crafted brand of concrete funk, militant breaks and modern sound sculpture. 

At times the Flowrida EP verges on the edge of that classic old school feel, harking back to imprints such a Reinforced or Bingo, yet at other times it takes a journeyed walk across various branches of the electronic music tree. Unambiguously dancefloor, the EP spans halftime, mid-tempo breakbeat - with his collaboration with Samurai Breaks, and two tracks of unapologetically raw Drum and Bass. 

“I just feel the vibe. If I want to make a hardcore thing, it’s okay. If I want to do deep, it’s okay. I try and include elements of UKG, house, reggae dub things I love. I’m just trying to find a balance of mixing together all the styles.” - Neve

Today, we’re delighted to exclusively bring you a flowing, magically barbaric taste of sumptuous breakbeat flavour from German dons Tweakz, Syncopix and Duktuz, forthcoming on the eponymous Syncopix Records. Just one foundational part of a cross-tempo, all-encompassing EP that includes another solo track in the form of ‘Planetary Dub’, collaborations and link-ups with the likes of Slay, EJ Kitto, Dava and Jamal Dilmen, plus two juxtaposed, hedonistic remixes from men-of-the-moment Nectax and Askel, you’re in for a real treat here. It’s a journey; it’s a story - filled with powerhouse vocal imagery and proficient, no-holds-barred production prowess across the board.

‘Obsidian’, which we’ve hosted for you today, is the perfect example of the sheer statement of signalled intent on the project. A tad more targeted at the stacks, bassbins and subs than some of the other more melodic and downtempo licks on the 7-tracker, ‘Obsidian’ weaves its way seamlessly through its luxurious intro segment, incorporating swift, breaksy percs and summer-etched background notions before lining up the subliminal switch on the b-line. We mentioned there was juxtaposition on show, and that’s exemplified again here. A lovely mix of funk, instrumentation and gnarly synthetics are demonstrated to their fullest extent, teasing and toying with expert precision, rounding out a truly fantastic long-form experience.
