Hi guys, really proud today introducing a very fruitful collab with my friend Dirk Taubenheim from The Gatsbys. This song means a lot to me, as this is my very first song I partly wrote almost 15 years ago. I only finished music and arrangement last year, and considering the great welcome this song had from you all, I decided to carry on the work and write lyrics. 
Once it was finished, I offered Dirk to sing it, as I always thought he had the admirable rocky voice this song deserved. He accepted straight away to sing it, which was an honor for me considering his prolific songwriting career. I guess I am hung up on how and why we repeat mistakes over and over.
The map to a better future is clearly written in the past.
Learn from it, don't distort it,

so what's an hour...It's 60 minutes
so what's a minute...it's 60 seconds
so what's a second..now that's really fast
so what's it matter..not much if they die in the past

time is such a waste of time ,look at all I've wasted
worrying about the time that's left and not taking time to live it
I'm so afraid of dying that I do no more living
I think so much of what I want that I do no more giving
I pretend to live forever though I know that it's not true
So I lie and say tomorrow I'll find time to call you

so what can make it last...I mean forever
and what is the past...an ancient river
so what is the future...a shadow in the night
so what does it all matter..we need the past to give us light

we live and die every day and dump our deeds along the path
stumble forward in the dark as if forever we will last
we have to heed the deeds we did and remember what they sowed
or else we stumble off a cliff and the future leaves us cold
and alone with the ghosts of our regrets of what we could have done
if we had listened to the past and not partied in the sun

so what's it matter, the past??

Here's the first Anomon & Elliot recording in a New Series of musical conversations in 'The Livingroom', in February 2023. And today (Feb. 21st it's #2 on the SC New & Hot Ambient Chart in North America. 

The tones and textures Tim created on his guitar as we began improvising reminded me of the Erhu.. the two stringed Chinese instrument played with a bow. It felt like we were actually looking out over the amazing horizon in the photo above, filled with wonder. Shortly after, we found our way into the musical equivalent of Para-Gliding over the clouds in very cool n joyous groove that continues to pulse through until the finish.

"Unfinished Story "Shane Beck(The Last American Poet) & Loo(p)cy

A drone from a few days ago (system-1 (aria) into an old mackie 1202 with a boss delay feedback loop--connected about 70% correctly). These mixers sound so great. Fed it back thru with a simple op-1 e-piano arp. This combo always works well, easily. Almost nothing going on here.
