It was a chilly morning, and the dew clung to the branches of the trees as he surveyed the forest, picking out which pine needles needed to be plucked. He heard a sound in his head- not for long, but enough time to know it wasn't coming from outside of himself. It was slow techno, dark disco, dirty electro with the love of Nantes.

The tree grower's hands shook as he gathered more bundles of sticks and pine needles off the ground until they were wrapped tightly in his hand. But within them grew musical roots up through his fingers with their own rhythm--until all he could hear and feel is what had been building inside him waiting...

Creator of one of the first French electronic webradio show back in 2005, intimate parties organizer back then, now acting as a music columnist at StarWax magazine, he’s been evolving as a dj from free parties’ hardcore in 2000 to electro and slow techno more recently. Some whisper he likes gardening as much as djing. He’s Le Pépiniériste.

Tireless sound digger, eclectic selector with punk-rock, post-punk, funk and new wave influences, he’s been delivering wicked electro, nu disco or trancy sets on French Slow is the New Fast or Lithuanian Electric Shapes podcasts since 2014. He likes to kick asses. He’s Horseshit.

Both crave for exploring sound, experimenting, creating surprise, blending musical styles, switching from heavy guitar riffs to hypnotic infrabass, from contemplation to dance.

They virtually met in 2020 thanks to Slow is the New Fast podcast and enjoyed so much each other selections that they decided to join forces for a 2 hour bewitching back to back dj set.

In a world turned upside down, where chaos reigns and uncertainty is the only constant, we, a disparate band of souls, found sanctuary in the most unexpected of places: the Counterterraism Guest Mix Series. The name itself mirrored the core of our purpose.

Counter, the antithesis, and Terra, the Earth, symbolise our ceaseless battle to navigate the tumultuous sea of a world in disarray. 

Week after week, we invite a guest, a luminary of the electronic music realm, to share their melodies and tales. These auditory odysseys become the score for our uncharted lives.

Amidst a world veering from its familiar course, we embrace it. We dance to a new rhythm, a reminder that even in a world turned strange and unrecognisable, our connection to the Earth and one another is a tether to acceptance. Life, it seemed, had taken a different path, and we, in the harmonious discord of Counterterraism, found an unconventional beauty.
