"Marcus’ dj-sets could best be described as a retrospective journey into the future, taking on a lot of inspiration from the 80s and 90s with a strong focus on genres such as Italo, Dark Disco and EBM, as well as Synthwave and a hint of Trance.
There’s perhaps no surprise that Marcus' music sounds the way it does since he grew up with computer games, science fiction and hockey anthems. Playful melodies in a futuristic environment presented in a big way—like an anthem is supposed to. 
Marcus started this year by releasing music on Spanish record label Espacio Cielo and Scottish-Spanish label Fixed by Funk (run by Funk D’Void), where he also received superb reviews from Decoded Magazine. During 2022 Marcus will release music on a number of international record labels such as French Mélopée Records and German Feinstoff, to name but a few."

His music and mixes are best described as a retrospective journey into the future where he reinterprets, embraces and explores sounds from the 80s and 90s, with a strong focus on genres such as Italo and EBM, but also Synthwave and Trance.

Growing up, immersed in video games, science fiction and hockey (anthems), there’s perhaps no surprise that Marcus' music sounds the way it does—playful melodies in a futuristic environment presented in a big way, like an anthem is supposed to.

Back from the wave is probably the most personal project of Fred Rodrigues-Carreira, French artist ,Dj, and Electronic music producer since twenty years. Influenced by new and Cold wave music and early post-punk bands like Depeche mode , New Order , Norma Loy , Joy Divison or Talking heads but also by the beginning of Acid House and Détroit techno Fred starts production with only a juno 106, a bass station and a sequencer. He started on two French techno labels, Goodlife (The Hacker and Oxia) and Scandium records (Delon and Dalcan). He will also explore all the musical specters under several aliases with different artistic projects. Passionate and curious about music, he naturally becomes Dj and performs in France and abroad.  His production are always dedicated to the dance floor , combining Electro , Techno , Syntwave, like his Dj sets .  Since 2018 Back From The wave has been releasing music on different labels such Ritmo Fatale , Critical Monday , Nein Records or Esthetique Records. The Back From the Wave project is a tribute to all the artists and music that influence Fred today.
