Alphanova is a french duo based in Paris & Barcelona. Made of Yuli de Borde & Hader. The two DJs & Producers launched their duo project after teaming up for the creation of Disquette Records, the parisian based crew made of DJs, Producers, VJ, Photographers, filmmakers & Graphic artists. 

After playing in B2B together for a lot of events, they decided to start their own duo project: Alphanova ! The project focus on Italo Disco, EBM & Dark Disco and take inspiration from artists like Pablo Bozzi, Kendal, Alen Skanner, Biesmans, John Noseda just to name a few.

The project started in 2022, playing in many venues such as the legendary club Badaboum in Paris, The Flow, Folies Pigalles and a series of festivals during the summer. Alphanova already released “First impressions” their 1st EP including 2 original Tracks (“Creatine” & “Body Talk”) and 3 remixes from Miguel de Bois, Zaatar & Ramtarr. The project is already supported from many DJs in the scene including Pablo Bozzi, Belaria etc…

EPICAST #036 - Alphanova

This week spells the end to Topshelf for another year and we're delighted to seal it off with an incredibly spicy live set from Dark Disco duo, Kay-Chi & Keymon.

Both established Athenian artists in their own right. Kay-Chi being a rising name in dark disco with tracks like 'Brighter Shadows', 'Parallel Circuits' and 'Freaky Deaky' working their way into DJ sets across Europe and Keymon with NuJazz/Trip-Hop group Iota, whose rich, experimental textures are a soulful delight on the ear drums.
Collectively releasing their debut single 'Future Memories' this year and with a live set raring to go, we can't wait to see what 2024 holds in store for them both.

Yet, praise is but a transient companion, dissipating as swiftly as it materializes. In contrast, blame emerges as the gust, cutting through the air with a chilling precision, leaving behind a lingering sting. The dance of praise and blame is an intricate waltz, partners twirling in a delicate choreography dictated by the capricious winds of judgment.

Hailing from Lima, Peru, Izakaya Deployment owes the inspiration for his moniker to the deep affection he has for Japan and its culture. Such influence can be perceived in his sober and pragmatic but extremely rich sonority in which he explores the many possibilities of bringing to life his take on high-quality underground electronic music.

His debut on Moon Harbour makes an indelible mark working hand in hand with the German artist Matthias Tanzmann for the Pisco Sour release. A track inspired by the legendary Peruvian cocktail.

Developing his own sound, he had support from artists like DJ Hell, Damon Jee, Matthias Tanzmann, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, among others.

He is the man behind @nosignalrecords and made music for other record labels like Moon Harbour, NEIN, Sudbeat, Bass Works and more.

We dance to a new rhythm, a reminder that even in a world turned strange and unrecognisable, our connection to the Earth and one another is a tether to acceptance. Life, it seemed, had taken a different path, and we, in the harmonious discord of Counterterraism, found an unconventional beauty.
