JULY 2023 MIX

Yay! This year the summer has been treating us with loads of sunshine, and hopefully there are more weeks to come! For TR169 we arranged the head honcho of the Normtusa label: Molsy. He created a one hour mix packed with bangers sauced of with his signature blend of indie, dark-, and techno sounds. Perfect for those sunset moments to get ready for the night!

Since their beginnings in electronic music, Introverso has always been passionate about exploring sound and creating a unique experience for their audience. His music is a fusion of genres ranging from the darkest techno to the softest disco, creating an alternative futuristic sound, being known for his cinematic textures, deep and punchy bass that make his music a unique experience in the underground scene. His Mexican sound has led him to sign with record labels in Europe, South America and Asia.

Counterterraism Guest Mix 297: Introverso

Kunstlicht got into electronic music during his time at "Radio Corax." Shortly after that, he started dabbling in DJing with his brother, who goes by "Senior Citizen." Before long, Kunstlicht became part of the vibrant scene at "Palais Palett" in Dresden and even co-founded "Gestaltwandler" over in Halle (Saale).

Besides throwing epic parties and creating awesome spaces, Kunstlicht also started getting gigs. Lately, he's been all about indie-dance with a hint of techno vibes.

Just last year, he co-founded the "Vacanza" crew in Leipzig, adding more flavor to his musical journey.

Kunstlicht's sets are all about moving forward, and they're infused with a friendly and inviting vibe, no matter what time you catch him spinning

Counterterraism Guest Mix 302: Kunstlicht

Marcelo Malta, aka “MLTX” began his career in music at a very young age, guided by his father, a multi-instrumentalist. Drummer and Musician, he was part of Hardcore, Punk Rock, and Heavy Metal authorial bands, expanding his feeling and relationship with different rhythms & melodies. In 2015 he started attending big festivals and parties, developing a fondness for Techno and listening to renowned names, which influenced his musical taste, until during the pandemic, a friend encouraged him to start DJing since then he has been playing at parties & podcasts around the world for Germany, Netherlands, Croatia, France, Colombia, Argentina, and others. With an ongoing label project, MLTX DJ sets emerge in a #fusiontechno strand, a mix of Techno & Indie Dance / Dark Disco tracks, exploring new horizons and boundaries, performing strong and dark rhythms driving the melody through the beats like an electronic drummer.

Counterterraism Guest Mix 301: M L T X

This week I was joined by @tronik-youth & @the-stockholm-syndrome in the su\tudio to discuss their Stockholm Youth collaboration. The project began in Melbourne when Neil Tronik youth was in town for @neinrecords Uk 2019 tour. With one ep under their belt and remixes of Gunci Aci & Man 2.0 the duo’s workflow is consistent.

Since then they have been working on several tracks and almost completed an album. So we are very excited to hear from them and what they have in store for us.

Counter, the antithesis, and Terra, the Earth, symbolise our ceaseless battle to navigate the tumultuous sea of a world in disarray. 

Week after week, we invite a guest, a luminary of the electronic music realm, to share their melodies and tales. These auditory odysseys become the score for our uncharted lives.

Amidst a world veering from its familiar course, we embrace it. We dance to a new rhythm, a reminder that even in a world turned strange and unrecognisable, our connection to the Earth and one another is a tether to acceptance. Life, it seemed, had taken a different path, and we, in the harmonious discord of Counterterraism, found an unconventional beauty.
