When an album gets a remixed version, it is usually a sign the original release is worth revisiting. That’s the case of Trulz & Robin’s “Out Of Sync”, issued in June this year on Snick Snack Music. Featuring nine originals plus Club Edits of “Inside Of Me” and “U Get Some” and an Instrumental Mix of “This Is Love”, the endeavour is a true showcase of the Norwegian duo’s influences and capabilities; an outstanding multi-genre journey depicting proper House, Techno, and whatnot themes.

For the comeback, three EPs will be brought to light within the next months, starting with the "Remixes Part 1", obviously, which comes furnished with notable interpretations made with love by Prins Thomas, DanceMusicTherapy, and Bjørn Torske, Trym & Erik. Premiered here, the latter's collaboration.

The Norwegian gang of young virtuosos got together to deliver an unexpected take of "1 O'Clock". Using Caracaxá-like injections and tribal percussive layers, Bjørn Torske, Trym & Erik came up with a complex and mosaical score, a true immersive experience into the wild jungle of their innermost influences.

Indie Dance The Mix Series Calystarr

Just in time for the weekend, we received the perfect guest mix no. 30! The tracklist looks and sounds very promising and includes two familiar Blank Wave faces with Perel and Lauer, with whom we had two unforgettable events this summer. Beartrax also recently performed with Aural Trace, Dina Summer, Xpresso Martina, Psycho Jones and Shia LaBiff at one of our events in Frankfurt and we were not only able to admire him on the electric violin, but also behind the decks at the same time. That was definitely a great pleasure! Back in New York, he has now recorded an exclusive mix for us. Of course with one or two tracks from his label Melodize.

We'll now tell you a thing or two about him. Ever since picking up the violin 18 years ago, Beartrax has experimented with a variety of instruments and styles. This included stints in orchestras as well as jazz and metal bands. After discovering house and techno in late 2011, he decided to get a copy of Ableton, start producing, and exploring the wide realm of electronic music production and DJing, constantly experimenting with different ways to incorporate his musical background into his productions and performances.

Beartrax’s productions and performances heavily feature organic, musical elements such as violins and synths as he conveys his love for melodies and vast range of influences, which range from Heavy Metal and Punk to New Wave and Classical.

Having worked with labels such as Motek, Nite Grooves and Lost Diaries and seeing numerous releases appear in the Beatport charts with the support of renowned DJs such as Ame, Laurent Garnier and Oliver Schories, Beartrax is now focusing on his own imprint, Melodize, which is a further expression of his musical approach to house and techno.
