Rosie Ama and Nadia are everywhere thses days, sporting their trophy pics on social media. The duo started their radio show on London's Balamii Radio in 2016 and soon started performing together in clubs. Gigs across the UK and Europe followed, and now, a fistfull of days after, we see them producing acid and trance tracks and bake more plans for the future together. 

Here we see them LAYERing that blend of acid not acid with wacko electronica on a tempo rollercoaster.

Nick Hanzo, a shadowy figure in the heart of Vienna, unravels an intricate auditory canvas, previously as Hanzo & Yaman, recently as a solo project and the avant-garde label Belly Dance Services. His musical amalgamation fuses Trippy House, Disco, Leftfield, IDM, and trippy techno, creating a symphony that defies genres.

Nick's musical journey echoes with compelling notes from the early years of mastering the saxophone and clarinet to the transformative turntable discovery during an Erasmus stay in Madrid in 2005.

With almost two decades as a DJ, Nick, the Resident DJ and Booker at Viennese Ponyhof, orchestrates an electrifying ambience. A maestro in track selection ensures a dance experience transcending the night.

Nick Hanzo’s magnetic talent shines on stages with luminaries like Local Suicide, Joyce Muniz and Damon Jee, solidifying his place as a sonic sorcerer leaving behind a trail of musical mystique.

Secret City Dance 2024 - 04 - Walk The Night

Russell started DJing in 1988. Along with a group of friends he promoted his first parties "Moonstomp", favouring the underground sound of New Beat and the EBM coming out of Belgium, Holland and the UK. Since then he has promoted and played at various parties from United Frequencies in the early 90's alongside DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes, Darren Emerson and Leftfield's Paul Daley.
In 2004 he formed The Digital Gimp Society! and regularly showcased @ 333 in Old Street, East London with Blackstrobe DJs, Mark Moore, The Hacker and Richard H Kirk as well as promoting various events across London.
Early 2014 saw the birth of his Música Noche project, enjoying numerous parties with guests including Khidja, Scott Fraser, Craig Bratley, Richard Sen, Daniele Baldelli, Ruf Dug, Coyote, Apiento, Leo Mas and many more.
Most recently Russ locked horns with Kindred spirits, Kirsty Pemberton and Marc Hasler for their PIDR collective. With their mutual love of all things left of centre and “machine” the three have promoted and played at events from Belgrade to Brixton with their favourite artists including Vactrol Park, Schwabe (Tapan) and Ali Renault.
Influences from Prince to Nitzer Ebb, Hip-Hop to techno make up his style, but an open mind and reluctance to follow the crowd are mantras he holds close

After releasing several EP on Accents Records, ARTS, and Diffuse Reality. Pablo Diarra aka Saïph launches his own label Songe Anima records (Sonam rec) with this first release Griffe Sonam EP.

The EP's surprising influences include techno, contemporary trance and ambient, with acoustic recordings drums somewhere between, Afrobeat, jazz and Maracatu, and colder textured pads. This EP feels both grounded and ethereal.

The whole low-end spectrum stares us in a very dub-like direction, the snare, Rim, hats game is as swift as it is aerial, while the electro sound design elements take us, through experimental effect, into a vast, hushed soundscape.

The EP can't be summed up in a single musical style, and explores musical universes we've rarely heard together. The resulting unity is a mature, rhythmically complex sound, an insider's music that's easy to access because it's so danceable.

'After Trane'is an explicit tribute to John Coltrane. Here, the main lead evokes a sound somewhere between trumpet, flute and organ. Its polyrhythmic tangle with a second lead to the 5th can evoke a Balkan fanfare, a Celtic ritornello, West African chants, or even an Oriental dimension; there's something quite universal about this appearance; whose main characteristic is to produce a trance effect. The closing solo may evoke something of Joe Zawinul, and in some aspects takes the allure of a Coltranian pastiche in its articulation. You'll even recognize a brief citation of the Impressions theme, breaking through the mix and setting the track on fire at 5''33.

“I’m back, this time revisiting my African roots. Jipe Moyo (from the Swahili phrase Jipe Moyo, meaning ‘take heart’) moves with deep rhythms and soulful melodies, carrying a spirit of resilience. The Afro House scene is expanding, yet I feel some of its essence risks drifting away from authentic African energy. Having spent most of my life in Africa, I feel fortunate to draw directly from that heritage as the backbone of the inspiration for this track. I truly hope listening to it gives you as much joy as creating it gave me.”
