To me the original was as good as it can get, after being asked by AZEDIA to do a remix how could I refuse. I wanted to take the best bits and really emphasise them in a way that was more relaxing. The feel and atmosphere was so engaging and spine tingling that I couldn't deter away from it, but rather make an attempt to magnify the feeling the original portrayed. Magical, soul-warming and powerful.

A while back, I watched "Digging the greats'" episode on how MJ borrowed the groove for “P.Y.T.” from Carl Carlton’s “Bad Mama Jama.” I downloaded the stems for both songs, replayed the bass line, worked some production magic—here are the results. I hope you enjoy it.

After years in the works, Toast and Jam is excited to bring you one of our favorite breaks producers... the one and only Kid Panel! His remix of Funky Feeling is exactly what we have come to expect from Kid Panel over the years. He filters in the original piano line to the first break while teasing the Funky Feeling vocal leading up to the drop, which is just downright dirty. The rest is total bass bin devastation. The Funky Feeling B side features Kid Panel's alter ego Lack Jemmon bringing you a ghetto funk reworking loaded with funk guitars, thick beats, and the original vocal for a bouncing mid-tempo romp. Two tracks worthy of a spin if we don't say so ourselves!
