Producer and musician Jiony presents his tenth studio album, a project that stands out from his previous work by being entirely made up of collaborations. While he had featured guests in past releases, this time the album was conceived from the very beginning as a collective effort.

The process started with a selection of unfinished tracks leaning towards a trip hop sound. Jiony shared them with different artists, who then chose the pieces they connected with the most and developed them further.

Among the collaborations are three songs with Eva de Marce, originally intended as an EP but ultimately integrated into the album before she continued focusing on her project Los Eclipses. There is also a collaboration with Karen y Los Remedios, a band Jiony founded alongside Karen and Guillermo.

The record also features international voices such as French sisters Athenaïs and Audae, both singers and producers, as well as American poet Ashlee Haze.

San Miguel de Allende, the city where Jiony resides, plays an important role in the album with four local collaborations: Daniela Orozqui, a singer with a distinctive style; Cuban multi-instrumentalist Freddy Thompson; and painter Ana Ragá, who contributes her lyrics and voice.

From Mexico City, the album includes a track with Paulina Olea (AMNL PRNT), with whom Jiony also shares the project Extraperrestre, and Fede Cartas, who lends his voice to a song that Jiony originally wrote over ten years ago.

The result is a 14-track album released under VAA, an independent label based in Mexico City, bringing together a wide range of collaborations and diverse approaches within a shared sound.

Alive by @kalyugcitizen is a Hardbeat/Newbeat inspired track infusing the hypnotic pulse of late-80s Brussels dancefloors, cold atmosphere pads and melancholic vocals. The track will be released on @meteors-recordings as part of the upcoming compilation First Transmission.
Born and raised in India, @kalyugcitizen is currently based out of France. His punk spirit and passion for electronic music have led him to sing in several bands in recent years. Kalyug Citizen blends his past influences with the rhythmic pulse of '80s and '90s New Beat and EBM (Electronic Body Music).

I love melodic musics with synthesizers : electronic musics, EBM, post-punk, synth pop, electronic rock, sometimes Italo disco, techno & so much more stuff.

I share musics with various monikers on the project C2<3 coup de coeur / crush via edited playlists.

My playlists are a reflection of my current mood in a selection of music. 

These playlists, which I call "playmixes", are a kind of game. 

It's an artist discovery game, which means that for each playmix I try to find new sounds from artists I've never released on this project before.

I choose tracks and put them together, trying to create a story between them by "just" adding them one after the other, without changing anything on the original track, just using copy, cut, paste and volume.

Everything is done very instinctively, like the artwork for each playlist, which I create from my own photos.
