Coupe Studios: We think, talk and breathe music.   

The year: 1980
The place: Boulder, Colorado. Inside a converted chicken coop.

Scott Roche set up his 4-track recorder to tape some local bands.
Some time after he got the thing working, a friend with a bike shop asked him if he could write a jingle for the store. A few days later, he delivered a catchy thirty second song. The bike shop was thrilled, and Scott realized he could actually carve out a living doing what he loved to do.  

From a coop, to a Coupe.  

30 some years later, Scott still has a rack of guitars in his office and stays closely involved with every project that comes through the door. The passion that got him into this business in the first place is reflected in every album, commercial and film we work on. Scott ensured that his passion and commitment continued over the last three decades by building a world-class facility and a team of dedicated pros who share his values.

Coupe Studios is a 5300 square foot facility designed by the Walters & Storyk Group and built from the ground up.

Studio A is centered around an SSL AWS 900+ mixing console. Also featured in the A Room is a Digidesign Pro Tools HD Accel system. For visual projects, a 42 inch plasma flatscreen is in place for viewing your project in style. The variety of audio monitors in the room allow for 5.1 mixing, and emulating just about any audio environment, from car stereo speakers to a commercial theater. An Otari MX80 24 track analog recorder and a full complement of outboard gear complete the recipe for premium quality music and audio production.

The Studio A Tracking Room is a 500 square foot main room complete with a Yamaha C7 grand piano. A drum room and three smaller isolation rooms provide numerous recording options.

That's just a sample of what we have and what we can do.  

Coupe has worked with major label artists, helped create national commercial campaigns, mixed Academy Award winning features and extended a helping hand to local artists.
