Up next is Zurkin, highly active on the local scene and co-founder of Vodkast Records: both imprint and Tbilisi vinyl oasis for fervid record lovers everywhere. Early April saw him follow DJ Nobu’s unconventional house set at Horoom with an eight hour closing run of his own, for Bassiani Podcast 122 we recorded it live. This one’s packed with everything from left-field house to spacey electronics, extra garage tunes and acid trance frequencies thrown in for good measure. Undoubtedly one of the best Horoom parties to date.

As one of the original members of rave collective Fast Forward, Schacke is a poster child for the Copenhagen scene: an arcadian playground complete with its own sound, codes and likely soon, diaspora. The DJ/Producer’s boundary-pushing output takes cues from metal, noise, hard trance, techno, you name it, though these stylistic distinctions are maybe less important than Schacke’s grander mission, one of providing ‘simulation therapy’ by way of getting ravers to enter a ‘kind of virtual reality’ in shared space. A few weeks back, the Danish wunderkind packed their gear and did just that, regaling party-goers with a taste of Denmark in Tbilisi. This one’s a live recording of Schacke’s set at Horoom, one of the club’s longest parties to date, a 12 hour set packed with fun and mercurial beats.

Decade of Memories saw some of the biggest names in the field come together to mark 10 years of Bassiani, an apposite mix of talents whose own times at the club have each added their own note to its story. In turbulent times and now more than ever the power of music, dance and community is needed and on October 4th these tried and true talents were just the ticket. Among them, Voiski and Sophie Phare played b2b duties on the Horoom floor, a genius pairing of two sounds who find common ground in their love of the fast and rhythmic. The former a French veteran with over a decade of tales to tell and frequent musical acknowledgement of his Iranian roots, whose ever expanding universe has charted disparate paths in collaboration with names like Heartbeat, Vril, Elliot Litrowski, Wata Igarashi, Crysta Patterson and Hadone (Vrilski, Superski, Wav, Kartel and Voiski & Hadone respectively), with over 200 releases and 20 EPs to his name on labels like Mama Told Ya, L.I.E.S., Dekmantel and Delsin. The latter a Georgian mainstay, previous podcast guest and Bassiani resident whose effervescent and catchy melodies would have a cheetah breaking a sweat. Their double alliance meanders through the ambient and expansive texture of Voiski’s world and the sagacious kitsch of Phare’s own making for a high-powered three-hour set that channels the revolutionary spirit of Tbilisi’s creative scene. With the likes of these two at the helm of the Horoom floor and on good track, the next ten years are sure to promise countless more feelings, encounters and memories. Bassiani Podcast 236 is one such special moment, recorded live here on home turf.

Super happy to share the live recording of my FFM debut @silbergold -24.05.25- with you all!
This one shows a big variety of tunes I love — across different soundscapes, moods, and genres.
You’ll hear everything from deep & driving to playful & weird — just how I like it.
Tried to connect some dots between old favorites and new obsessions.

Had a blast bringing some of my favorite @scheißmukke to a city where I spent every school vacation growing up, visiting my dad’s place.
The Frankfurt-Berlin connection definitely shaped my sound in ways I’m still figuring out.
Really happy with how the set turned out — felt right at home in the booth, from the first to the very last record.

Being able to share my Scheißmukke across Germany is something I don’t take for granted.
Can’t wait to bring my records to your favorite club next.
