Moving between the most hybrid Avant-Pop and the most vibrant Club Music, Parisian producer Scarlett (@ohgodscarlett) is back on Couvre x Chefs with her third EP: Three Faces.

After laying the foundations for a live project of dark hybrid Pop with Thin Ice in 2020, confirmed by the sublime Signs released in 2021 by Creaked, Scarlett had not yet revealed her club producer side. Motivated by her regular presence behind the decks, the new Rinse France resident presents with Three Faces a raw, industrial, sometimes rave club universe. Devoid of vocals this time, the EP’s tracks are built on rhythmic structures that are as hybrid as percussive. Consisting of 4 original tracks, the release is a deliberate tribute to broken rhythms, cadenced structures and other hybrid
percussive patterns, with Tribal Prehispánico at the forefront.

To enhance the EP, we invited two giants to remix the track of their choice. Mexico’s legendary DJ Javier Estrada (@djjavierestrada) returns to his Tribal Prehispánico roots with a new take on ‘Ultra’. At the same time, the unmissable Venezuelan DJ Babatr (@dj-babatr) transforms ‘Third Vision’ into a powerful Raptor House tool that’s already been played the world over.

After a short but much-needed pause, RUTA’s free download series picks up right where it left off, kicking off its second year with Noise Casino’s ‘Corpus’—a sharp, bass-driven club tool built on a sped-up dembow rhythm. Layered vocal chops weave through a thick Reese bass, driving the track forward with relentless energy. A percussive final drop locks everything into place, leaving just enough tension to draw you back in.

Montpellier-based artist Gipsyan (@gipsytrax), known for releases on XXIII, Nehza, TraTraTrax, and JEROME, to name a few, joins RUTA’s free download series with “La Discoteca”—a track that toggles between broken rhythms and four-to-the-floor propulsion with effortless flair. Saturated bass and razor-sharp percussion shape a sound that’s chaotic in all the right ways: a peak-time weapon built for dancefloors that thrive on unpredictability.

It’s the second installment in RUTA’s 2025 free download series, and a release that extends Gipsyan’s prolific presence in the ongoing conversation between UK bass and all things percussive.

A few kids - Matt Warren, Miguel Garcia and Ralphi Rosario, get together to join forces with the already established Sunset Mobile Disco - owned by brothers Alex and Robert Rojo - to create a new record label as an outlet for their productions.
In the following 4 years, Sunset Records Inc. released some of the most groundbreaking Chicago House records, mixing New Wave, Disco and Industrial influences with "beat tracks" and a huge amount of talent expertly scouted by Matt Warren & Miguel Garcia.
While largely remaining in the shadows of larger labels like Trax and Dj International, the metamorphosis of Sunset Mobile Disco into Sunset Records Inc. perfectly illustrates the wide range of influences that gave Chicago’s dance scene its unique sound.
Jerome Derradji is proud to present the definitive story - written by Jacob Arnold - of one of Chicago's House Music best kept secret in a superb gatefold DLP and a DCD compilation that includes remastered, rare and unreleased tracks from the Sunset Records Inc. label along with lost pictures and artifacts spread in a gatefold DLP and in a 23 page booklet (DCD only).
