The idea for this song came from a relationship I was previously in, in which I realized I was trying too hard to change who they were to fit my idea of a perfect significant other. I know now, you can't do that to someone and you have to truly love yourself as a person before you love others. It's unfair for the other person if you're trying to mold them into who you want them to be. I've learned from my mistakes, I hope this helps anyone who might be in a similar situation. Love people for who they are and you'll receive love back 💙
