Made using contact mics, fingers and twigs against the rough bark of an old ancient cedar, this soundscape aims to represent the pacing of a thunderstorm passing through a valley. We envisionned this project by playing around with the cedar's branches and realizing that pulling on one of them before letting it swing back upwards against the others created the resonant sound of thunder clapping. 

We wondered how many storms this tree had seen, how living in a rainforest environment had shaped it's memory. We wondered if the sounds of it's environment were engrained within it. We wondered how the bugs within the tree felt during this collaborative sound piece.

THUNDERSTORM SOUNDSCAPE

Experience the furthest hidden corners of my mind in my new album "Finding Home Within The Self". Not that corners really exist in this realm for you could say it goes on for an eternity and loops around onto itself. Perhaps a greater way to explain this piece of artwork I have created would be to call it a collection of some of the darkest most hidden fragments of my imagination. I like to believe this album to be one of a kind, some may call it music, others may call it noise, but I would like to call it poetry, emotion, trance, ART... And other things such as that. But in the end, you're the only one who may label this gem for yourself, whether or not you enjoy it.
