After nearly a year since their sophomore album 'The Other', Pan-Pot return home to Second State with a stunning EP showcasing the duos proficiency for composing dynamic, cutting-edge Techno. 
Over the span of three tracks, 'Solace' EP navigates through a trifecta of distinct styles that unquestionably bear the mark of Pan-Pot's masterstroke. Kicking it off at a breakneck pace is the title track 'Solace' with rapid fire low end and intense tones laying the bedrock for a wildly uplifting presentation of keys creating the ideal balance between opposing forces. 
Up next is 'Consequence' which see the duo team up with Martin Eyerer for a newly styled trip down memory lane. By pairing key elements of the sounds of early Pan-Pot and contemporary production, the trio have succeeded in conceiving a fever inducing, big room hit. 
Rounding out the EP is 'Lose Yourself' and it is by far the most grandiose of the trilogy. Lush pads and soaring sonic stairs build toward a zenith as the ceaseless chant of "lose yourself" escorts the traveller through an elated dream. 
To top it all off, Pan-Pot personally enlisted the expertise of IMF's label boss, the mighty Marcel Fengler. With an astute awareness, Fengler weaves the original artifacts of ‘Lose Yourself' into a truly unique orchestration of rugged percussion and euphoric abstraction. 
Although it's been a year since we last saw Pan-Pot on Second State, once you experience 'Solace', we think you'll agree, it's good to have the bosses back home.

I wrote these tracks from my deepest desolation. Aida and Me had lost our best friend some days ago on a morning we will never forget. I still cry when I think of him, Nin. Still hurts to think that I didn't do everything that was in my hands to keep him alive.

I still don't understand how I can be here, doing what I used to do when he was alive. The feeling of knowing that I won't be able to see him again distresses me, it chokes me, it keeps killing me. Maybe I do so many things in my life because I'm weak and working everyday keeps my mind busy. So I don't have to think about him, Nin. Catching transoceanic flights makes me sad.

I suppose it is the only time that I really feel alone and have time to think, to think about him, thinking how much I loved him. He died a year ago but the pain is still evident like the first day. These 5 tracks were the first ones produced just after Nin's death. I still heard him, I still felt him. And that unique feeling took shape in my music, plenty of anger and sadness.

Nin was special. Who was lucky enough to meet him, knows it. Not only because he survived a cerebellar hypoplasia, was deaf or that he was able to make friends from the very first second. Nin had something that made him unique. There won't be any other cat like him. And when I hear these tracks that I did just after his death, he comes into my mind, feeling him close to me and crying because I won't be able to hug him again. That's why it's so hard to play them on my sets, the same reason why it took me a year to release them.

They remind me too much of him. I will donate all the benefits from this EP to Black Jaguar White Tiger for their amazing altruist work with felines and because Eduardo opened his home right after Nin's death. He was pure love. He loved us so much as much as we do. I hope that listening to these tracks, so personal, so mine, so Nin, you can get to know him a little bit better and that his memory perpetuates forever. I love you, my friend. I will never forget you.

Coyu - Life Without You (Original Mix)

Julian Jeweil lands on Christian Smith’s Tronic label on Monday 5th December with his remix of the label-head’s ‘Initiate Sequence’. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the rework above.

The original track is taken from Smith’s third solo album ‘Inut/Output’, which also landed via Tronic earlier this year. For his remix, Jeweil pairs his trademark destructive low end with searing claps to destructive effect.

Jeweil’s cut comes as part of a remix package that also includes material from Kenny Glasgow, Kaiserdisco and Victor Ruiz.

Following on from his debut EP on Drumcode earlier this year, Ilario Alicante returns with a generous 6-tracker. For the past few years Ilario Alicante has enjoyed something of an unintentional Ibiza kinship with Adam Beyer. When the Swede played his special annual sets on the Amnesia Terrace for Cocoon, for three years out of four, the Italian has been right there playing alongside him, ensuring his talents were on the radar of the Drumcode chief. Ilario made his first appearance on the label in 2016 with the stirring 'Temporary' featuring on A-Sides Vol.4, before securing his first full-length release with the 'Awakened' EP that dropped earlier this year. 'Figures & Echoes' deepens his contribution to the label with half a dozen powerful cuts. 'Virgo's Echoes' opens the EP, a persistent synth line combining effectively with lush layers of melody to create an atmospheric introduction to the work. 'Third Eye' delivers an exhilarating dose of rave thanks to the hypnotizing riff that runs throughout. 'Figure of RA' combines a rousing vocal loop, pulsating beats and an effective melodic interlude to fantastic effect. 'Acid Runner' is true to its name, with echoing vocal effects that lead to a piercing 303-line that hits with peak-time power. 'Atonal' is a late-night burner, as mesmerizing pads rub shoulders with sparse percussion to create a beautiful seven-minute piece. The package concludes with the pumping 'Leave Me', with its funky deep bass stabs, ensuring the EP maintains its energetic vibe from start to finish.
