‘True’ emerged as an unexpected but welcome side effect during Sasha’s dedicated studio time reinterpreting his stunning ‘Scene Delete’ LP into a musical score for his upcoming REFRACTED:LIVE shows. The original cut dropped on Late Night Tales last Autumn, enhanced by London band Dems’ haunting vocals. Now three very different artists, all breaking ground in their respective fields, deliver their unique interpretations.  ‘True (feat Dems) - The Remixes’ is out on March 23rd, 2018.

Maeve are thrilled to welcome long time friend Kev Sheridan to the label for his debut release. Kev is one of the most talented musicians we know and its an honor for us to release his first work to the world. This project has been developing over the past few years and now we have a record we feel showcases the deep musicality and talent Kev has.

Although not sounding like a typical Maeve dance floor record, the A side entitled "Alone in Berlin" is a stunningly beautiful piece of music. Its measured melancholic flow creates a shared empathy between listener and composer.

"Wash Over Me" is the A2, and with it comes a change of pace moving into a broken beat rhythm but still maintaining the emotion of the A side. Haunting pads hang over clean staccato percussion creating an overall euphoric vibe.

"Losing Someone Is Never Easy" is the final track on the EP on the B side. This straight up house cut again shows Sheridans deep musicality using a wide range of instruments to weave a beautiful tapestry made for special dance floor moments.

Prismode & Solvane’s Octopus begins with an exposed kick suspended by intricate melodic strings and spare percussion. With Umami, Heerhorst continues to explore the darker and more introspective side of tech, while Boy Next Door takes us down the rabbit hole with the stamina-brimming dungeon techno track Heron. Bjorn Stoerig shifts up the mood with Mettetin, a steady groove-tech journey with subtle tribal flavours. Tim Green returns to Cocoon for his first release on the label since March 2016, with an atmospheric new dual single. ‘Echo/They Want Us To Fall Down’ is the first release from his forthcoming debut album and drops on 27th April, both digitally and on vinyl. 
 
A cinematic production offering heavy shades of emotion, led by deep chords and rattling percussive sweeps, the release precedes Tim’s debut album ‘Her Future Ghost’ and gives a taste of things to come from the expectation-defying producer.

Tim Green returns to Cocoon with his atmospheric and emotive LP titled ‘Her Future Ghost’. Surprisingly, after more than a decade’s successful career, this is his first album. Dual single ‘Echo / They Want Us To Fall Down’, the first release from the eleven-track LP, drops on April 27th both digitally and on vinyl. A cinematic, emotive production, led by deep chords and rattling percussive sweeps adorned with loop pedals and menacing synths, the two-tracker forms an intriguing foretaste of the LP due on May 18th. 
Making full use of the LP format’s potential, Tim composed ‘Her Future Ghost’ like an electronic soundtrack to a romantic film: 
‘My concept and direction for ‘Her Future Ghost’ was to write a film score for a film that doesn’t actually exist,’ says Tim. ‘As an avid film score fan, I wanted to create a body of work that took certain typical soundtrack traits. For example, different motifs that repeat throughout, like character themes which evolve and mutate as well as a narrative that develops through the music. In my mind the story is about two people in the future, a couple on another planet so distorted and corrupted in comparison to the our world. Essentially they are trying to flee and survive in a society where they have to go to extreme lengths not be caught and put into the same system and society as everyone else on this planet.’
The album concept was further influenced by the work of Ahmed Emad Eldin, an Egyptian digital artist best known for his design on Pink Floyd’s 2014 album ‘The Endless River’. Tim reached out personally to the artist, and the two collaborated on the cover art for ‘Her Future Ghost’ - making this an even more cohesively creative, fully crafted release.

It was nearly a year ago when these two graced with their hugely successful track ‘Hope’ on our ‘Watergate XV’ various artist compilation. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis come together again to deliver the stunning ‘Love Letters From Sicily’ where infectious organic grooves pave the way for a flourishing well of emotions in the form of lush pads and shimmering sonics that unfold into a tale of epic cinematic proportions. From start to finish it’s a intimate piece of aural imagery, yet the duo always keep a keen percussive focus making it ideal for any dancefloor moment. 

To complement ‘Love Letters from Sicily’, we’ve enlisted the one and only John Digweed to rework Meyer and Davis’ original of ‘Hope’, and with no surprise, he’s given it the master’s touch. Staying true to the original, while at the same time reinventing the storyline and constructing tension by saving the powerful harmonies for a later climax, he’s crafted a revision that’s both driving and timeless.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki’s main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted.  Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg’s wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent ’s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven’t brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 10th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.
