REALL RAPP - LUV Ft. KAYLA

With some of my new songs I’ve tried to write the lyrics first, which is a foreign process to me.  This one is about how having a child changes your perspective on things.  Since becoming a father I’ve been able to let go of a lot of things that bothered me, focussing on a bright future with my own family.

I wanted to try something different musically, so I ordered a bouzouki.  I’d never played one before so I thought it would be an interesting challenge.  We went to Devon last summer on our first family holiday and I decided to pack my latest acquisition.  During our time away I learnt to play my new instrument and wrote two songs on it.  I wanted some extra ambience for the recording, so I ordered a Gazouki (a bouzouki with a guitar body).

The music moves in some unexpected directions and parts of it remind me of ‘Grace’ by Jeff Buckley.  With this in mind, I wrote a cool ‘Jeff-style’ cello line, which is executed to perfection by Louise Dearsley.  The track also features some mighty harmonies from Roisin O’Hagan.

The artwork was designed by the wonderfully talented Alex Hutchinson, with some direction from me.  Alex used various lyrics from the song to put together a collage that represents the spirit of the track.

Pulse is the second single by Derby based band Mount Famine. Released on 17/07/20 it tells the story of a sweaty night in an illegal Latin speak-easy. A bloodbath of nasty Hawaiian shirts, cheap rum, even cheaper aftershave and a dance floor slick in desperation, ‘Pulse' is Northern storytelling at it’s yearning best that has been described "the sound of The Killers, New Order and Blossoms getting off with each other.."

Christopher Peevor also known as Complex is a hip hop artist from Hereford U.K, he first started writing when he was 14 years old after hearing songs by various rap/hip hop artists.

He had a vision that one day he would be able to portray his poetry/lyrics to people around the world. He began to make material with a friend some years later in Llandrindod Wells, though nothing came of it so he decided to put his music on hold.

This was until he moved to Hereford in 2009 where on a night out he met Divine Compositions a member of the DRC group, conversations began about their love for hip-hop music and how they both had a dream of releasing music.

Complex was then introduced to Small Morris the founder of the DRC group, impressed with Complex's writing ability he was asked to appear and lay down a verse on one of Small Morris's tracks called Want You.

They went on to create tracks such as money up and lights camera action. They had good success with there track Only Gets Better which gained radio play aswell as tv play with there video on channel aka and massive rnb.

In 2013 complex left the group to pursue a solo career, he has just finished his first solo track titled What I Can Be. A video has been done and is now up on youtube, self promoted it has 800+ views.

He has gained support from BBC Introducing Hereford And Worcester as well as Radio FM Cardiff, Radio FM Bristol, and Metro Newcastle FM.

He has released several songs since the start of 2015, notably his new track 100 For Me (being promoted currently)which has been picked up by several DJs in his area.
